Probably Edmonton or Calgary --- mostly because I like Alberta and been to both of those cities - probably like Edmonton a little more -so I'd say the Oilers.

Or maybe Montreal ... I dunno - hockey is hockey...

I don't think I could. I can't root for a team not from Chicago (unless its a farm team).

I'd still hate on Columbus, Minnesota and Detroit though.

.

Detroit Red Wings

Being that I am new to these forums I have to assume that when you highlight words in green it must mean something...?

If you're being serious I would advise you to please go play in traffic.

Christ, your favorite hockey team just won the Stanley Cup and you have people debating which team they would switch allegiance to based on a silly hypothetical question.

Conclusion: Chicago sports fans suck.

dude chill its just a hypothetical question the hawks are going nowhere so no one here has to actually make that choice. We all our celebrating the cup and our proud of our team. This is just a question ppl can answer if they are bored.:dealwithit:

You know I think it might time for a reality check -as it isn't such a hypothetical question -- this team basically was "folded" up until not too long ago.

If anyone actually buys into that "never say die fan" -I'll show you a pile of bullshit. . . -Bill Wirtz relied upon that type of attitude, and I contend that through the 2006-07 season that this team was not even running on fumes (which makes this season that much more special - seriously, I saw an article in the Trib that Spring where the team could not even give away tickets...

After Roenick/Belfour got traded away - then Chelios -it wasn't the same for me - and then you know - if you look up some of those late 90's to mid 00's teams you aren't going to find a hell of a lot to get excited about. Oh sure- Theoren Fleury's strip club issues, Brent Sutter getting in Tyler Arnason's face ... and frankly Tyler Arnason centering your top line ... talk about brutal ...

So yeah actually I was more interested in watching guys like Roy/Bourgue in Colorado ... and pretty much anyone else that was actually interesting in putting an actual NHL team out on the ice ... as I said sometime back ... the Hawks are my team and they always will be -but they aren't bigger than the game...

and too, sometimes as a fan -you have to do what you have to do - even if that means ignoring your team until the ownership wakes up -in this case it never happened (and I never wished Bill Wirtz ill ... I just wasn't inclined to give him any of my money).

Now if only the damned Cub fans would work out that much out maybe they might win a World Series within another hundred years -but I won't be holding my breath.

Hmmm...I'd have to go with either Boston, Nashville, or Philadelphia. Those are my three favorite teams other than the Blackhawks.

Boston Bruins. Boston suburbs have been a 2nd home to me since I was little.
