And if true (since I didn't see it -I can't comment to that), Kaner needs to understand that if a guy like that is going to be his linemate he is occasionally going to have to use that guy, otherwise actual NHL caliber defenses are going to ignore the never gone to forward on a line. And Kane will end up being that less effective - however, I imagine he probably can work that one out as he isn't a rookie any longer -at least you hope so.
