Getting a 3rd round pick for Bollig is mindless? This is fucking Bollig, not only is he useless but he's vastly overpaid. First, let me say that I know exactly nothing about the guy drafted with the pick....but I would play him right now, sight unseen ahead of Bollig.

It just goes to show you that if you know you are dealing with a team that scouts based upon a back of a hockey trading card stat line -then you are going to find a sucker that actually things that 7 goals and 7 assists mean something. What it meant to me was accidental second assists -and a lot of rubber directed at the net that might have bounced off the guy's butt - still a goal -but yeah - not highlight reel stuff.

I don't think it is so much that you can trade a Bollig from the golf course - as is also the fact that you can accept a trade for a Bollig from a golf course (and the advantages of not being the guy that decides to take on a guy from the golf course)... This seems more like trading Bollig for Morin - and considering Bollig's stupid idea that he was a hockey player (ie -invitations to dance and not being pro-active about it -ala Johnny Scott) meant that this guy was eminently expendable at his price point (thank the guy who calcs the salary cap for that one if you would ).

I'd hate to give Stan too much credit, but he put Bollig up at a price, and sold him for a prospect that is probably already better than Bollig now instead of letting him walk for nothing.
