All of which happened earlier in his career. Emery obviously matured quite a bit after his afflication with avascular necrosis, which nearly ended his career.

And Emery played for cap hits of $600k and then $1.15 million. Brodeur hasn't played for less than $4 million in this millennium. If you think he's suddenly going to take a salary cut of about 75%, I have some other things I'd like to sell you.

Brodeur ain't worth it. Especially with this team's current financial situation.

Just what I was saying earlier....if he wants to practice with the Hawks, play on a contender and watch Crawford play about 60 games or so and do it for a mil or less. He's welcome....not gonna happen as he's WAY too full of himself to play second fiddle for chump change. The thing is....he's not the same goalie anymore and that's probably all he's gonna get from anybody.

More than anything else, money is going to be the issue with Brodeur.

His name seems to have popped up in Blackhawks rumors each of the last few offseasons.

strickland is curious if the hawks make a formal offer to statsny. he is regarded as one of Qs favs in the league. salary would have to be shed though.

Stastny would be damn interesting if the Hawks could land him.

Move Sharp/Oduya, bump Teuvo to wing, and then you've got a Top 6 together for a good stretch of time with only Hossa on the wrong side of 30.

I think Stastny is going to get an insane contract due to being the only decent player in a pitiful UFA class. Think he'll be out of the Hawks' price range. But ya never know.

As most of the analysts and scouts have said, TT will be a winger. This is why TT discussed at 2c is kind of pointless unless you gamble it this year and hope he breaks out and hope that the size doesn't kill that line, but yes, he will be on a wing the majority of his career imo.

It has been discussed many times on the NHL network.

It is something that Eddie O, Jay Z, and Rozner have mentioned countless times.

I wouldn't be stuck on that if I heard it from some one person one time.

I didn't say you were wrong, I'm just saying that discussions =/= confirmation

I'll believe it when I see it. The Hawks already have a logjam at wing in the organization and Teuvo debuted in the NHL as a center. He went from LW to C in his prior season in Finland before coming to the Hawks.

Prospect camp in mid-July oughta be a pretty good indication of the Hawks future plans for him.

Now I couldn't tell you who they'd deal with but Versteeg, Bickell and Oduya would probably clear enough to get Stastny in here.....it's close to 10 mil. Finding a trade partner would be difficult.

Sportsnet (on NHL Network) talking about the Blackhawks. Said that Kane/Toews are around 8yrs 88mil right now but Blackhawks hoping to come in under that. Supposedly getting closer and Blackhawks #1 focus right now.

Spoke about Blackhawks lack of cap space. Mentioned Olli Jokinen and Brad Richards as two possible 2C guys.
