chicagosportsfan is a FAN of chicago sports. It's not about NBA trivia like how to spell a player's name, or every little roster detail, or watching the NBA, or understanding the rules. It's about going on chicago sports fansites and just grinding it out, i'm talking about posting within oneself, and not letting what you might know or not know affect your enthusiasm in writing about it. I think of baron davis limping around in the final game of the warriors - dallas playoff series a couple years back, shooting threes instead because he couldn't take it to the hole.

What's the total running time of the DVD? I'm hoping for 120min or more. Mine hasn't arrived yet. Also, does it walk you through the regular season and showcase highlights?

Re: Blackhawks Stanley Cup DVD.

I did not time the DVD but the back of the box says 250 mins (on the blue ray) and 200 mins on the DVD (I think that includes the bonus coverage)

They do a really good job talking about how last year ended and all of the additions and subtractions this offseason. They talk about Helsinki and blaze through the regular season. They bring up the 5-1 come back but that's about it.

They do a great job working through the playoffs showing highlights while interviewing players.

The bonus features on the blue ray are pretty sweet. They have the entire on ice celebration so you can see everyone raise the cup. They also have extended locker room celebration coverage as well. Madden has some sweet dance moves and Sharp says the first thing Campbell said after they won was "we will never have to pay for a drink in Chicago again!"

I couldn't wait til this came out it was worth the wait and I really enjoyed it.

I've never even looked at the O Boards... HF Boards is bad enough.

Excellent DVD. Just finished watching it. Great from start to finish!

I LOVE the bonus feature of Toews' draft day. Tallon to Toews as he hands him the sweater "Best looking jersey in sports."

Little did JT or anyone else know.....

Someone needs to tell Bolland that when you hop into the barber chair and say "give me the Oompa Loompa" you probably aren't making a good life decision.

Re: Blackhawks Stanley Cup DVD.

I'm thinking there will be a special edition coming out, so I'll wait for it. They had one in 2007 also. So likely, they'll be doing one for the Hawks as well. Hell I have that 2007 video.

Basically, that one showed also the entire Stanley Cup Finals and West Finals in their entirety, plus different locker room scenes and all the fun after that ensued.

If there is a Special Edition, you'll likely see it on the NHL site sometime in October.

Re: Blackhawks Stanley Cup DVD.

My observations watching the DVD last night:

1) Bolland is one ugly dude - my wife said he was butt ugly

2) Colin Fraser has an afro that belongs in the 70s

3) Seabrook looks like he just rolled out of bed, no shower, no shave, just woke-up.

4) Toews speaks very slow and monotone and seems like he'd be a boring guy off the ice

5) Patrick Kane's mom is very attractive.

6) I was disappointed they didn't cover the regular season very well. All they covered was the Calgary comeback and that was it. I wanted to see Buff's one-on-one breakaway against the NYR to win the game in December as well as some other season highlights.

7) The Vancouver series was rushed through. There was not enough of an emphasis on the Versteeg goal with 1:30 left to play in Game 2 to put us ahead. The Hawks were sucking wind in that game in the 1st period and had a miracolous comeback.

8) Overall the DVD was pretty short. I enjoyed it but it was rushed and didn't cover enough. I thought the WhiteSox did a much better job in their 2005 DVDs. They had a regular season DVD, a playoff DVD, and then sold the complete games of the World Series. So I guess you can say I want more.

They showed that, but you probably blinked and missed it. That's how long it was on the screen.

Are you sure it was the Buff breakaway? The only one I noticed was the Sharp breakaway against the Kings.
