Any news on LePisto, Montador, and Toews?

Toews very close to contact. Check the official injury thread... the Sun Times reported that he could be cleared as soon as this afternoon.

Montador gone indefinitely. Took a hit to the head in NJ.

Lepisto is skating.

Would be awesome to have Toews for game 1 of the playoffs.

Seems like that's the unspoken goal and the good news is that he's progressing well enough to make it a reality.

Of course I'm sure they're going to be even more cautious now after seeing Montador go back down in his first game back. Definitely don't want to see that with Toews.

Hard to believe how good Sharp Kruger Stalberg was. Granted, Stalberg had an unusually strong game but just seeing how those 3 types worked together- it just makes sense that they'd be good.

Crawford played the puck A LOT. Way more than usual. Not sure if he was just inspired by playing against Fatso in New Jersey or what.

The best news (beyond that they were able to play like this and continue to play well without Toews and now keith) is that they're playing Hawks (circa '10) hockey.

They're outshouting teams and just generally taking it to the opponents in wave after wave like they used to. There's no passive bullshit and they're much faster. They're dictating the play and getting shots and attempts on net while not getting handcuffed in their own zone. Can Oduya really be bringing that much stability to the D? Even O'Donnell had a really strong game tonight.

Phoenix up by 2 with 10 left in the third. Phoenix doesn't gaffe late in games.

Clinching will have to wait.

50/50 glad on being the last home game I attend on Sunday.

Sick of the ******-bags that sit in front of us.

Constantly get up during the play. :hitler:

Agreed DMelt- very well said.

Sharp and Stalberg were fantastic last night for the second game in a row against playoff teams. That line is rolling right now and they just crush teams with their speed. Overall, I am surprised with how well this team is playing over the last couple weeks. This team seams to be peaking at the right time. The top 3 lines are playing well and their best offensive player and defensive player have been out. As down as I was on this team a month ago, I am that high on it now.

I loved to see that combination with a healthy Toews centering the line with the way they are rolling.

No. Stalberg could have 4 goals in a game, but he isnt a shootout guy. Why isnt Hossa in the shootout? He is one of the best scorers on the breakaway in hockey

I see what you're saying, but I didn't mind it. It's kinda a team building, comradery reward for a good night.

Hossa isn't great in the shootout.

He's not as terrible as Sharp, but he's not automatic by any means. Beyond Toews and Kane, it's a crap shoot anyways. Throw anyone out there (besides Sharp).
