Yes, I liked episode 4 as well. It kind of gave Boba a little bit of his swagger/wrath back, when he lasered the biker gang with Slave I. I really like his female sidekick (forget her name now). I also liked how you got to see more of the interior of Jabba's Palace.

Now that the Tusken Raiders are dead, I'm hoping we're all done with the flashback scenes and we're all up to speed. I'm glad he's "fully healed" now. I'm still hoping he doesn't take his mask off as much as he does, lol.

I didn't expect his eyebrows to be the final indicator of fully healing... it made me giggle when I saw them, realizing I had never even really registered he was without them.

Love having the gladiator wookie back.

I also like the fact we are caught up- the relatively short montage over the episodes of the payback and getting his feet under him was effective without being too boring.

The story and his reasoning for going after the mining company is a good kick off.
It can make him a world hero when he is in actuality looking out for himself.
Seems like a great way to turn him "public".

That was Timothy Olyphant, lol I enjoyed the **** outta that episode.

It had that Space Opera Western vibe, like you said, complete with a fucking yokle of a Sheriff trying to use Mandalorian armor.

So much of Mandalorian and Boba Fett have the good aspects of what drew me to New Hope, even 20+ years after it was made.

If you actually dislike a character, IMO that's kinda good, it means they provided you with contrast to the protagonist.

Makes your brane even more sympathetic to the protagonist's plight, in this case dealing with some dipshit local Sheriff toting armor he has no business using.

I think one thing missing in modern TV/Cinema are characters that you truly truly despise, so when they get their ass kicked or the protagonist shows up and kills them, or heck even if the yokle gets tossed thru a window and it makes you laugh, because **** that guy.

Most shows now try to write all characters within a narrow margin of Good, and usually attempt to explain why a villain is acting the way they are.... traumatic childhood, sexual abuse, major psychological event, etc.

And also try to paint in some grey on the protagonist.... yeah he's good, but he did some bad stuff just like the villain you're supposedly rooting against.

So now you're just watching people you sorta root for to all kinda be successful so no one is dead in the end because you sorta kinda like all the characters in some way.

There's a reason he was "The Dark Lord Sauron" and not "The Misunderstood Guy Sauron", ya know what I mean?

It was Funny they put that old west flavor in there... all the way down to the wooden plank sidewalks (how the **** do you get wood on tattoine?!?)

I was bored after watching episode 4 and currently can't do much of anything so I watched "under the hood".

Lucas wanted that gunslinger flavor with Boba... one of the creators mentioned spurs for Boba fett along the way.
They didn't put them on, but the Foley artist put the jangle of spurs in fetts foot step sound effects.

Lucas must have absolutely loved that particular episode of the mandilorian.

Elysium is what I was expecting, something like that with droid exo-suit pieces.

Agree the execution is bad, feels like a GenZ 90's punk cover band got their hands on Costo-sized containers of glow sticks and melee weapons mixed with BDSM gear.

Outfit them like that and take away the "west side story" gang angst and they would be rad.

Every time I see them I picture them spontaneously busting in to a finger snapping dance number.

Yeah I enjoy that odd juxtaposition of a tech future and the frontier setting of a western.

Two is enough IMO lol, but I'm sure they'll overdo it like everything we do now.

I definitely missed the eyebrow thing, good call.

One thing I was confused about: did he just forget that the jawas stole his armor? He went back to the Sarlaac thinking it was still in there, but I'm starting to wonder if maybe that was a ruse? Maybe he just wanted to **** that Sarlaac up for eating him, but just didn't want to admit it to his lady friend, lol.

There are some cool paths this show could go. You have to wonder if Han and Chewy will show up eventually, that would be pretty sick, assuming they get an actual actor to play Han and not CGI him. With this new Evil Chewy, it would be cool to see he and docile Chewy mix it up. Also, does Obi Wan make an appearance? I assume he will be in the final episode, would be a good segway into the new Obi Wan show that is imminent; just like they did with Fett in the last episode of Mando.

He was conscious for roughly 10 seconds before they knocked his ass out again, and he didnt wake up till the Tuskens got there.

I have been knocked cold a few times, and i can tell you first hand you lose up to 15 minutes or half hour leading up to the impact when knocked cold- something about time being needed to convert short term memory to long term getting scrambled with impact. I was good with them going that route.

On the Obi wan thing... The timeline wouldnt work. This is immediately after Return of the Jedi, so Obi wan is long dead.

Wookie fights would be awesome.
I dont recall if it was urban legend or fact, but as a kid I heard the moon of Endor was supposed to be populated with wookies rather than ewoks, and they scrapped it because it would have been to brutal watching wookies tear the stormtroopers to shreds.

Episode 5 was awesome, although it obviously had nothing to do with Boba Fett. Perhaps that's telling. At this point, I'd much rather watch Mando than Boba Fett, and that's coming from someone who thought the second season of Mando was meh.

Is anyone else wondering why Episodes 5 and 6 were not just Episodes 1 and 2 of the next season of The Mandalorian?

I enjoyed them, but this is a show called The Book of Boba Fett lol.

TWO full episodes that were 95% Mandalorian, just seems weird to me.
