And a team with the core of Rose, Anthony, and Boozer with not much depth does not beat a team with the core of Wade, James, and Bosh with probably even more depth.

:obama:
You're still on this idotic bullshit.

Right, because after the Bulls trade for Melo they would have been banned from making any more personnel moves for a year. WUT?!

Plus the Melo move wasn'ta ONE season move it was a long term move to pair a 27 year old top 10 player with your 22 year old top 10 player..then build from there.

But that is apparently beyond you(still).

Are you ever going to be smart enough to grasp any of this shit?

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Nebraska Cornhuskers
  2. Villanova Wildcats
Here is another thing about the Bulls that scares me: In the two games I have watched the Miami Heat, when he is on the floor 9 out of 10 times Lebron is guarding the point.

I'm not going to give up on Boozer just yet. It's only been 2 games into the season. I will say that if this Boozer/Noah combo keeps on faltering & don't even play in the waning minutes of the game, I WILL BE 1 UPSET GERMAN! :smoke:

There will be a demand for AC'ing Boozer if he doesn't stay healthy this season and doesn't put up AT LEAST 13.5 ppg & 8 rpg (currently 10.5 ppg & 4.5 rpg).

Boozer is not going to finish games. Taj Gibson finished them throughout most of last season. I remember early on last season, everybody criticized Thibodeau because he sat Boozer on the bench for the final minutes of one game. It never happened again after that.

You're still on this idotic bullshit.

With Carmelo Anthony wrapped up in a pre-new-CBA max contract, (plus) $15M per-season wrapped up on Boozer, (plus) another $5-6M wrapped up on Rose for another two seasons, (plus) the rest of your team being Omer Asik, Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, and C.J. Watson, there would not have been much trade leverage to trade for anybody else decent without completely gutting your team and tanking the next several seasons just trying to establish the core via the draft.

There is no realistic short-term outcome of a Deng+Noah for Anthony trade that would have resulted in the Bulls being title contenders.

Orly? You left out Taj Gibson and Big Sexy. :smug:

The NBA doesn't have a salary cap either..........so. Well you could spend into the luxury tax as the Bulls have before when they have been building and or had championship teams.

There is no realistic short-term outcome of a Deng+Noah for Anthony trade that would have resulted in the Bulls being title contenders.
NO FUCKING WAY?!

I never said they'd be instant title contenders from day 1 and itd be smooth sailing. Yet you still fail to grasp the point its about building a damn team over the long term. But yeah, keep your head up your ass about the short term issues that might arise and miss teh big picture while the Bulls keep whiffing on chances to get elite NBA players.

For the record, I never would have given Boozer his deal and would have AC'd him before this season.

So if we are playing the hypothetical "I'm the GM game" I'm not worried about the turd of a contract that Boozer has. Plus, if the Bulls land Anthony and I had somehow drunkenly signed Boozer I AC Boozer in a second, free up space and go from there. But subsequent moves to a Melo signing are apparently beyond your comprehension level.

Nobody called out Thibodeau for keeping Boozer on the bench to end games in the playoffs. So it didn't happen again.
Because no one cared because by that point people realized Boozer was already overrated as **** and the Bulls were eliminated by the Heat a game or two later.

Plus LOL at you thinking Thibs is weak minded enough to care what the fans think and is going to play a guy because he was "called out".

You're fucking delusional.

LeBron will win the MVP this year.

Dude is pissed off and will go beast mode. I'm betting heavy on that.

The only way what you're saying might work would be if the Bulls AC'd Boozer.

But it is unfair to conveniently ignore that injuries in the NBA happen all of the time.

If the Bulls made that trade, and did all you said they should have done in order to put themselves in a position to become contenders by 2013 or after, then they would've given up the opportunity to win a title realistically, this season.

If either Wade or James goes down, the Heat are not realistically going to beat Chicago in the playoffs.

Asik, Thomas?
either David West/Nene?, Gibson?,
Anthony
Brewer?, Korver
Rose, Watson

(keep in mind that either Brewer or Gibson would be gone in the Melo trade)

I don't see that team winning a title. Whoever comes out of the West pretty much would have their way with them if the injured Heat did not.

The media is looking for an excuse to not give it to him. They already have that in the fact that team already has Wade and Bosh who can both make up for a heavy dose of touches/scoring opportunities that LeBron would have otherwise had.

If Dwight Howard stays in Orlando all year (somehow), then he should win it. Orlando is going to be an upper seed again in all likelihood regardless of people ignoring them.

The Mavericks will also be fine. Dirk Nowitzki is a lone star on his team. If the Mavs are a top 3 seed, after losing Chandler+Barea+Stevenson and gaining only Odom+Carter+Delonte West, he would win the MVP over LeBron.

I'm not "ignoring" anything assclown.

The **** are you talking about?

Heat will stomp them.

I don't think they have a realistic shot.

Nor did I think so last season.

Great. The Bulls are built to win a championship if one of the other teams top player goes down.

:obama:

Awesome.

God knows Wade and James are injury prone compared to pillars of health like Boozer and Noah.

There's no way you think before you type this idiotic shit.

Says who?

Once again making shit up.

I don't see that team winning a title
Well I didn't see the team without Melo win one either.

Odd.

Hmm you could be right he is tearing it up but my money is on Durant ...

I think the Thunder take the #1 Seed in the west this year

And listening to some of the media they feel that Westbrook is a good player but hinders Durant with is poor shot selection...And also the whole Miami is Wades team thing ...

Fact is that the Bulls can win a championship this year, if one of the big two on the Heat goes down. And it wouldn't even matter if Boozer played at all if that happened because Taj Gibson is playing at Boozer's overall level anyway.

Noah/Asik
Gibson
Deng/Brewer
Hamilton/Korver
Rose/Watson

coached by Thibodeau

...are most likely greater than

Anthony/Pittman/Eddy Curry
Bosh/Haslem
Battier/Jones
Wade/Miller
Cole/Chalmers

or

Anthony/Pittman
Bosh/Haslem
Battier/Jones
James/Miller
Cole/Chalmers

...especially when you consider how fucking Special person Erik Spoelstra is.

Good for them.

They are probably right, too. Wade can carry the load scoring-wise for LeBron and Battier can make-up for much (not all) of what James brings defensively.

I have no idea where you pulled the Gibson shit from.

The only deal I can find that were talked about are:

Deng+Noah for Melo

Noah+Taj for Melo(Makes no sense)

Deng + Gibson + picks for Melo

The issue was Deng's absurd contract and Denver not wanting it.

I am fairly certain that the Bulls would have needed to include Taj Gibson or Ronnie Brewer along with Noah+Deng in order to match salaries in a Carmelo Anthony deal.

Please, correct me if I am mistaken.
