Carlos Boozer: Carlos Boozer reveals ligaments torn - Chicago Breaking Sports

Something we new existed for sometime is confirmed by Boozer himself.

I give Boozer a ton of credit in playing through the pain.

Hopefully Thibodeau will look to give him easy touches and perhaps a 50/50 split with Gibson now.

:bullbang::bullbang::bullbang:

I hate it for Booz, but it's good news at least for the contract we gave him...we know he can play better, and he has for us...we knew going in that injuries could be an issue w/ him.

We can suffice w/ Taj this series...but we're GOING to need more offense next series, regardless of whether Bos or Mia advances.

Get well soon, Boozy!

What do you define as "before the turf toe?"

Remember when he got flagrant fouled by Kwame Brown?

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDfX0Qm0qX8&feature=related]YouTube - NBA bulls vs bobcats 3/9/11[/ame]

2:05 in shows the foul.

Boozer averaged 18 points and 9 rebounds during the regular season, despite starting only 59 games. When he plays with Noah, his stats will drop.

Noah seems to have another level in the playoffs, and Boozer doesn't, and it's partly because of the turf toe. But, mostly it's because of that foul by Kwame Brown.

When I say pre-turf toe, I mean post-ankle sprain. He's been nothing short of awful.

Agreed, but if he didn't play, wouldn't fans and other players in the NBA call him a quitter?

So no matter what Boozer does, he's screwed.

Thibodeau has to trust Gibson to get the job done more now than ever.

How many games did he play post ankle-sprain? From what I know, he was listed D2D and recognized by the trainers with a sore ankle for game 1 and 2, but I stopped paying attention after that.

I'm not 100% sure on when exactly he was healthy.

Boozer had his pinky broke until December and then he sprained his ankle against Miami Jan. 15 and then he sprained his ankle in March and now this injury.

We all knew about this possibility when he came here. He gets injuries... let's hope he can be somewhat effective.

I can't tell you when he sprained his ankle exactly. All I know is since he's been back, he's been awful. I'd say he played near 18 games or so after the sprain.

And the world won't call him out if he doesn't play because guess what? It's not his decision. He has turf toe, camel toe and his ankle is still not well. He's not effective on either end. Obviously the right coaching decision would be to sit him. You might be a little too fixed and the Jay Cutler situation, Fisch.

That's what you get when you give an injury prone guy big money.

Jazz are probably glad they don't have his contract.

They lost 2 all-stars in the past year, I'm sure they are jumping for joy.

Noah always steps up his game in the playoffs. Since Boozer isn't as energitic as Noah is, his numbers will go down anyways. On top of that, as mentioned earlier, he's been playing injured pretty much all season. The playoffs haven't been good to Boozer, but despite his foot injuries, he's averaging 9 and 9 a game, not the numbers his salary is worth, but not as bad as fans make it out to be either. He was and never will be known as a defensive player, but that's fine when you have Deng and Noah shutting players down on that end of the court.

And the world won't call him out if he doesn't play because guess what? It's not his decision. He has turf toe, camel toe and his ankle is still not well. He's not effective on either end. Obviously the right coaching decision would be to sit him.

True, but as mentioned earlier, you and I would still give him crap for not playing during the playoffs. I give him credit for not taking himself out of the series.

Thiobodeau's downfall may be playing these guys too hard during the regular season, as mentioned by many on here.

You might be a little too fixed and the Jay Cutler situation,

Another Chicago athlete who got a ton of crap was Soriano who was playing on a bum knee 2 or 3 years ago. Now that he's healthy, rehabbed and got his surgeries, I don't see or hear any criticism of him anymore.

Sorry but the Boozer apologists are going to have to come up with a reason for why he sucked before the turf toe.
