I'm just kidding around with you. = p

I know beat reporters are trying to make money. It's fair to consider if anyone has a dog in a fight. But Fields gets plenty of sporting-news attention, locally and nationally. He's a relative exciting player. Trubisky didn't get this type of attention, and he was drafted #2 overall.

I mean there's obviously buzz around those top 10 drafted players, and a bit more for QBs, but buzz petered out quick for Trubisky, but not for Fields. Biggs has been in the biz a long time... if this business issue crossed his mind, in the long run of a few years, between the Fields' drama and a new QB, I'd say he'd consider it a wash at best. So yeah, I think you're reaching here. = p

Appreciate the civil reply - to clarify something, when I said none of the reporters are a fan of Fields, I didn't mean it to sound like they all hate him, but rather none of them have a vested interest in seeing him succeed, and rather to the contrary, since quarterback controversy sells more articles, they have a vested interest in wanting the Chicago QB carousel to keep on spinning...

Their interest is writing about a QB that is clearly elite. They don’t have a vested interest in the qb carousel to keep spinning. Your mental gymnastics is quite annoying.

They summed it up perfectly.
Poles passed on Stroud and if he passes on Williams/Maye and they become good too its a fireable offense.
These guys basically confirmed that Fields is who he is. There is no 5 game audition, thats pure media driven nonsense.
Poles also gets to reset his GM clock 3-4 years and has more money to bring in a few more top FA's to bolster the team.
They nicely implied that Fields doesn't see the field well by stating that only one of Moore or MHJ would get the ball.
good find OP.
Drafting a QB does not reset the GM’s clock. This literally just happened with Pace in 2021/2022.

Their interest is to remain gainfully employed. Even Danny Parkins on WSCR has admitted the business model for sports media has been in part about chasing clicks, and bonuses and the like are tied to it.

It takes more mental gymnastics by you to keep up your cognitive dissonance. When I say what I say about people in the media, its because I've heard others in the media cop to it.

I think I speak for everyone that your contributions to this board are simply not needed and are quite frankly, annoying to read.

Here's the thing, you don't seem to comprehend that the most compelling storyline is a good team. I'm sure the media would love nothing more than for this team to be a super bowl contender.

You are just selling fearporn because you are a fat idiot

Joe, many in the media have admitted to this model and it's not hard to see/hear if you pay attention to what is being said, why it's being said, and by whom.

Sports media, like most media is about clicks and creating a story/narrative. It's always been that way but to a much larger scale with the domination of social media.

Just a little something for you to be aware of but, some of those media types have dropped by this board before under pseudonyms.

It's why I think there are certain people who get super defensive when I bring up the nature of the Beast, even though it's something reporters and former reporters themselves have talked about before on open Airwaves and in the public eye.

The clout chasing cracks me up....

While you and Brad Biggs may share an appetite for crave cases, I would guess he doesn't waste his time reading your conspiracy novels. Idk how you have such high esteem for yourself when you've spent 2+ decades being mocked for being dumb

Really good discussion with a guy I’ve always considered one of the better Bears reporters.
I sat next to Biggs at a WSox game back in '17. It was during Bears training camp (Mitch's first camp, Hicks extension talks). I knew who he was in the 1st inning and did everything I could to leave him alone to enjoy the game. I told my friend (who isn't a huge sports guy) who he was. My friend by the 2nd inning had to ask him how Bears camp was going lol.

He took that in stride and was a fantastic person. By the end of that game I asked just about everything I ever could about the Bears (past, future, present) and he answered every single question. I won't say what he all he said in respect to him- but just about everything he said came to fruition. I hope he's still doing well.

I think that you think you speak for everyone is laughable. You speak for a minority of vocal trolls and that's it.

Edit: Case in point from my thread: The argument for Fields NOT being "Elite" and keeping him anyway.

Cue the turds making a dozen alts to brigade me, but fuck em, point's been made.

HOLD UP. You are saying that Brad Biggs reads your novels on ccs, is threatened by what you're exposing about Bears beat media, and he's created dozens of alts to neggg your bloviation???

This has got to be satire.

I can't. I'm ded.

We can create a poll and find out quickly the majority of ccs thinks you are a blowhard, conspiracy theory, idiot.

Or, rather than let you set up something to spam and rig, I can just go to the historical record of my entire time here:

I'm sure people have had higher numbers, but I'm not out to say I'm the greatest thing here on the board or anything like that.

Instead, when you consider the positive reactions to negative, the positives blow the negatives completely out of the water.

Hence, while you troll dipshits are continually triggered by me living in your head rent free instead of going and getting an actual life, when I take time to contribute ACTUAL FOOTBALL to a FOOTBALL FORUM, the majority of people here have already shown they appreciate it.

But hey, keep living in that troll bubble of yours.....

:smug2:

*Edit - By the way, I'm sure at least 500 of the dislikes are from your own personal diligent dislike of any post I make, along with Chief Walking Stick and a few other no-lifes.

Way to make a dent, fellas, you're almost there! Only about 5,700 more dislikes to go to make me break even! What a thing to devote your life to - truly God's work!

It's hard for you to contribute actual football when you say things that are clearly wrong time and time again.

Steelers had a really strong OL
Chiefs had a loaded wr group
Run pro
Understanding screen blocking schemes
Not Understanding the financial benefits for resetting the qb clock
Fields was a bust without you ever watching him until the bears drafted him, then all of a sudden he was an elite talent while still never having watched him
Derek maye isn't his fucking name
Breaking down qb classes while ignoring 90% of the class
Allar from PSU looking great

I'll let others continue to add onto the things I'm surely missing off the top of my head. Most of what you say is laughable

People give you a hard time because you are an arrogant prick. If you ever graciously accepted you made a mistake, you'd probably get a lot more leeway, but you're just a huge douche bag
