It would have obviously put us in a better position to try for the end zone. We would have had a better chance. We still could have lost though. Either way, that's a big drop.

It was Jeffery that dropped a long pass down field on 3rd down with the Bears ahead 28-27 with about 5 minutes left.
BTW, the "ill advised heave to the end zone that was incercepted, ending the Bears chances" was called a hail mary. That's what you do in that situation.

How is a 5 sack season by Melton better than what the Bears had? What did Hester do other than that return TD? How is Webb starting a couple games on 2 awful teams relevant?

I think the point people are missing is that even with him still on the team, the Bears are going nowhere this year and most likely next year. By which point he'd be what, 34? If he's not going to help put us over the top to compete, then we have no incentive to deal with his mental issues that rare up every few months it seems like.
If we were a star WR away from competing for a title, you grin and bear it like teams did with TO when they were on the cusp. But the Bears have to more or less start over anyway, so getting rid of him was the right move. He has shown himself to be the same BM we knew on the Bears. Talented, runs his mouth and says dumb things, comes up short during some critical moments but also makes clutch plays from time to time. He is what he is. And he's no longer our problem so why keep obsessing over him?

Just like yours? What I don't get is why the same five guys constantly pick on the guy. At least he is passionate and tries to be optimistic. The same group of five posters are doom and gloom all of the time. If you're not part of their clique then they just bash and make fun of you anytime you make a post. It is fucking stupid. This board is turning more and more into a shit hole of either trolls (hhm, grimson, Novak, or Johnny) or every post getting bashed by the same group of guys (Broc, FT, Mongo, American Psycho, or OneBud). That is more annoying than any of Despro's posts.
