From what I caught earlier, they said that he was driving past the studio or wherever they were and he stopped and waved at them in the window and they waved at him to come in. He said no at first then agreed and came in and they asked him some questions.

They (Waddle/Silvy/Carmen/Jurko) were telling this story on cross talk earlier so I'm assuming they were referring to earlier today.

I wonder how B-Marsh is gonna handle Geno Smith throwing him the ball.

Isn't that considered tampering?

HOW????????????????????????????? A player on a different team is babbling that one of our players may be traded. Again, how is this tampering?

Yeah, that sounded live like the weirdest thing ever. He parked his car in the street and put the hazards on, taunted the guys from the window, then came in for 15 minutes. Very bizarre experience, especially with Marshall still calling De Falco a "clown". Very weird.

He's played with plenty of mediocre and bad QB's, I'm sure it won't be any different for him with Geno Smith

I'm not certain of that yet, I always thought Henne or Matt Moore were decent NFL capable QBs, and even Orton was better and they all seemed capable of being accurate enough to complete over 60% of their passes without relaying on a lot of screens. I've not seen that out of Geno as he still seems terribad.

People forget one of the main reasons Martellus Bennett came to Chicago is because Bennett and Marshall are long time (best friends?) good friends.

“@MartysaurusRex: @MidwayBearsBlog Brandon Marshall is one of my really good friends. So I've kept my eye on them.”

So Marshall getting shipped out with the staff turnover likely isn't sitting well with. Bennett. Quickest way to try and work your way out of town is to demand more money and to hold out in e process. It doesn't have to be nasty, just a mutual parting of the ways based on comfort level with the new organization.

The problem is the Bears may value Bennett more in trade and may not be as willing to part with him as they were with. Marshall.

So almost trading Marshall the year before should tell us it wasn't all milk and honey before last season. There's a reason this guy moves around a lot.

He seems to alienate his team within a few years. They've been insular about it and they should. Great talent and a great guy in a lot of ways, but apparently too much of a headache. I think they expected to get Cooper or White. They should both be great.

Kind of what I thought though things changed a lot since the trade with 1-3 guys dropping out of the top group of picks. I never considered Schreff a top 6 pick so was a lot more concerned we'd lose out on one of them or an even higher rated guy like Williams. The drop off after white is a pretty clear demarcation for me. i liked other guys like Beasley but not in the top 6. I thought we may have to go that way but glad we didn't need to choose between him Waynes, Ray, Dupree, Parker etc.

But people here will say that that should be acceptable because he produces on the field. What they don't understand is that behavior tears teams apart from the inside out. No one should be above the team. Good luck to Marshall in N.Y., he'll be somewhere else in a year.

True. He will also have another losing season despite being elite.

Dont worry, he will. I'm think he will be traded to the Bucs after maybe two seasons with the jets
