What are the chances he pulls a full season this year? I mean does the 3-year indicate it or was it necessary for his 10 game tryout?

If he's like Jeff Skinner he will stay up...

I mean if he really clicks with Toews maybe Stalberg goes bye bye?

Now we get a chance to watch some Saad grow into a beautiful lawn.

While Saad's full cap hit is $925,000, he needs 82 GP in 2011-12 to earn the $307,500. So cap hit could drop to $617,500

They've updated that since it was first posted. Last night when I posted it they didn't have the potential bonuses in there.

I think if he's plays up to his potential he will be an excellent value and could mean Stalberg or another wing gets traded or waived and sent to the Hogs.

I would be shocked if he's here past the 9 games, with Carcillo, Smith and Stalberg all coming back.

The last rookie jersey I got was Keith, I just might make him my next one.

Absolutely. If he's clicking with Toews he will be scoring, he already showed that against a Caps team that had most its starters, also laid Ovechkin the **** out. I see this working out in our favor VERY MUCH and giving us............

Blasphemy! The prequels soured me on Star Wars and Lucas mucking about with the original trilogy just furthers my contempt for that hack. He is a prime example of the blind hen finding the corn. He struck gold by just doing it at the right time with the right story. The prequels shows that he has no idea how to write compelling stories, characters, dialogue and how to direct his actors. The original trilogy isn't that special either when you think about it, it follows the typical Campbellian monomyth.

I don't think that's too far-fetched to say at all, mainly because he has the best core in the NHL to learn from. If he passes 9 games I would assume he would have found chemistry with someone and all of the players in the top 9 are pretty talented for the most part and draw attention to themselves. Saad doesn't have the pressure of carrying the team, or any line he's on, all the kid has to do is play.

That said, I don't think they will hesitate to send him back to juniors unless he really impresses and makes it impossible for the Hawks to send him down. He has all the tools to play at a high level, it's just a matter of his production out of the gate to see how well he does. Also depends on injuries along the way as well, if someone is gone for a while they just might keep Saad if he does fairly well in his 9 game stint.

So yeah, I pretty much agree: in order for Saad to stay after 9 games, he would have to be playing at a very high level already... if that happens he'll be an early candidate for the Calder. From there it depends on how consistent he can be, if he can do that too, definitely a Finalist.

Yes. Between ages 18-21 must sign entry level deals for their first three seasons.
