This take is more than a little silly. It's near impossible to get an entire organization to buy in on a tank. People are playing for their jobs. Players couldn't give two shits about Caleb Williams or MHJ. Fans really overstate the tank thing. Last year was the closest you'll see. Poles trading away assets mid season. But the bears were so bad those players would have little impact in the W/L column.

Teams with terrible meddling owners not withstanding.

It is fantasy. You cant have a whole team half assing it as this is a physical and dangerous game.

What people call tanking is really just bad teams playing poorly because they are in fact a bad team. And yes you can make high level decisions that may make your team worse on gameday but on gameday you always try to win.

This is bullshit. ESPN can suck a lemon.

Yea...I took a look at that list and noticed two bums.

Nice to know ESPN thinks both Whitehair and Patrick are top notch interior lineman.

I could see a scenario where the trade down is actually with the Bears second 1st.

They take a QB at 1 or 2.

Trade down from 4 or 5. (Because MHJ is gone)

Another team trades up to get one of the LT’s.

Braxton playing well is extremely valuable for the Bears going forward.
Agreed. Bears need interior line help and won't have to use a 1st round pick for that.

I am not trying to take anything away from the positive development of Braxton Jones, but it seems to me that both these tackles have played their best football with Teven Jenkins at their side.

He’s the best o-lineman on the team. He’s excellent in pass pro and a mauling bully in the run game. I hope he stays healthy. Monday night was a scare when he had to leave the field.

Latu is a freak. He's a couple years removed from injury, which is still concerning, but he's got the full package. I am a fan of Verse too. Turner less so but he is also intriguing on the edge. I think when it all shakes there's a high chance they take EDGE with their own pick.
I love the way Latu moves. It’s hard to take your eyes off him.

PBWR in and of itself tells us very little as the vast majority of OL will give up pressure only 5-7% of the time so their PBWR will be 93% or higher.

If you look at Whitehair and Patrick their pass block grades are 56 and 41.6. In true pass sets which removes pass plays where the scheme seeks to help the OL, their grades are just 54.2 and 29.3.

By contrast Jones and Jenkins pass block grades are 81.6 and 72.7 in all pass block plays and 73.6 and 68.1 in true pass block sets.

So you can put more stock in Jones and Jenkins PBWR because it is aligned with their pasd block grades. The same is not true of Whitehair and Patrick which is likely an indication that when they get beat they get beat bad. Whereas a guy like Jenkins may get beat but he usually fights to the bitter end which helps minimize the damage when he does get beat.

I love Odunze as well and have him and Nabers 2A and 2B. Would rather have someone with more size opposite DJ Moore cause Nabers and Moore or almost same size so i'd be happy with either. My guy K.Coleman has dropped a few spots in my WR rankings.

Verse had an absolute monster game against Florida.
I think Odunze is 6"3"s and around 215, fast as well.
