This could have just been the needed excuse to finally can him. He was demoted from the afternoon show and only seemed to get more ornery and condescending. I think people want to listen to guys who are excited to talk Chicago sports rather than sounding like they're above it all.

Chicago sports suck across the board. Bears sucked. Bulls suck (10 games under .500). Cubs suck, 0-2 to start new season. White Sox were historically awful. B-Hawks in contention for worst team in the league too. Who would be excited to listen to Chicago sports talk? 'Hey guys, we sucked slightly less today than normal, go us!' Sounds boring.
