Yep, that random was super immature.

Lets get back on topic here...

If certain players are proven to have known that have been part of the Cup winning teams... would you want their numbers in the rafters?

It depends what they knew and what they did with the info.

As far as the report they seem to have heard rumors about Aldrich and any of or a combination of drinking with players (specifically black aces) group sex with women they met at bars, and that he may have told players he wants to "jerk them off" / "touch their genetals"

These are the quotes from guys like Sopel, Boynton, and Vincent (all the most trustworthy guys?)

There was also the 2010-11 player (does that mean not on the cup team?) Who said that they heard Beach and Black Ace 1 joking about Aldrich.

I don't know what to believe even from the official investigation. It is the biggest game of telephone because the Blackhawks didnt just investigate and make sure Aldrich never worked again.

No one will ever find out what Kane and Toews knew so it was more of a rhetorical question.

Be respectful of an organization that covered up sexual assault on one of its employees? No fucking thanks. **** the Blackhawks and everyone involved with the 2010 season.
No. You missed the point. What I’m saying is DONT accuse anyone of anything else in here otherwise I’ll get emails (again) from attorneys.

Let’s be honest here, it is highly unlikely the team will ever find out if they did know anything, and if they did, that is something they will live with for the remainder of their lives.

Did they think they needed their video coach that bad?

I dont understand what made the idea of a suspension to get Aldridge at least away from team during investigation period so abhorrent?

Afraid to draw attention?
They needed his video skills?

What reasoning was there that made what Q and Stan did criminal and punishable?

I dont think misreading the situation or failing to know how to handle it in 2010 from their roles was a firing offense 12 years later.

Complicated because Stan should have been fired in off-season with this coming at the latest. Messy because of Stan/Q rift. But I don't blame the hockey coach for wanting to focus on his core team of 20-25 guys trying to win a cup.

That's his job. His comment of focus should have been for him and his team only and others should have handled it better.

But also, while they failed to perceive a messy drug alcohol hetero debauchery turned *** rape incident correctly, they probably didn't feel they had the evidence for ruining Aldridge and going after him publicly, nor wanted to air their debauchery culture laundry publicly.

But again...how is that the head hockey coaches responsibility in that moment? To me knowing Q that wasn't his sphere and he wanted nothing to do with discussions. That should have been fine and others should have handled it.

I cant really work with humans because if I'm the mental skills coach and I know this shit about a colleague I'm probably going to throat punch him in the hallway and put a permanent fear of God into them if I snap and they survive. Then I'm the one removed from society.

I'm not sure they had appropriate evidence to ruin Aldridge. For what, being ***?

The team juvenile misfit Beach was saying something weird happened and he wasn't even clear what happened himself because he was fucked up.

Aldridge went on to continue his behaviors and in hindsight everyone wishes it was stopped, but the point at which the Hawks knew and who knew the severity of the problem is unclear to me.

Perhaps the troll crowd here who claim to have read report could start by telling us from a more criminal investigation perspective like...why **** stan?why **** Q?

Who knew what exactly when where the buck should have stopped but it didn't because of "publicity or cup focus" instead of "confusion and disgust."

Q wanting nothing to do with a peripheral team problem doesn't bother me because it's not his job beyond "get that imbecile Aldridge away from my players!"

Maybe Q can explain why he didn't say that?

All the Blackhawks brass had to do was keep Aldrich away from their players, and make sure he never worked anywhere again by using their resources to follow where Aldrich was trying to get a job and PROACTIVLY warning the employer (Not sure if that is legal if there are no criminal records)

So two kids only a year older than the victim himself should have done what if they did hear rumors and innuendos?
If Sopel and Boynton are correct(which the report itself doesn't confirm)and everybody knew, what did the respected veterans on the team do?
Sopel in his new crusader video said he spoke up to team mgnt back in 2010,and then his focus remained on the ice.
"we were told it was going to get taken care of". This is same explanation the other finger pointing heros,Boyton and Vincent used.....why does this explanation not work for the perceived villains too? Sopel went on to state the Wirtz's didn't know.....how does he know that? HR was informed by McD after the PO's ended and YES this was an awful delay of reporting on McD's part but HR was informed. There's NO way the HR dept. of a small family owned and run business doesn't tell their owner a player just accused an AC of sexual assault and Rocky attended every game that year basking in the adulation of the fans in his special seats,he was around the team full time back in '10'
Sopel didn't go to the law or HR and he admits he knew. Boynton also did neither.
Nobody failed the victim more than Vincent himself and now he's pointing fingers 11 years later too. Vincent is the ONLY AC the victim trusted enough to confide in,did the former cop go to HR or the law? He went to McD with the charges instead. Did he go to HR or the law after the meeting he says infuriated him.....guess he wasn't infuriated enough because he did nothing after that meeting and he was THE GUY the victim asked for help.

Kane and Toews have had their detractors for years and now they have an opportunity to selectively blame the two kids at the time which is no surprise even though everyone else followed the same orders.

I wasn't gonna revisit the victim's storied career but since it came up. He was an awful individual at every stop,he used racial slurs against opponents, insulted handicapped family members, suspended for attempting to and hurting players usually much smaller than himself, shooting a puck at fans and fighting a teammate at a team dinner. His best Jr year by far came in his FIFTH year as a 20yro Jr playing mostly against teenagers.
This isn't to say a proven predator didn't do what the victim said he did 11 years ago, only that those who actually got the allegations first hand did nothing either as their orders demanded.

The only information a prior employer in Illinois can divulge is whether an employee worked there or not and for how long.

In that case I don't know what prevents Aldrich from continuing to get employment.

No one knows what happened at Notre Dame before or after the Blackhawks (they wont cooperate)

Aldrich assaulted an undergrad student or two at University of Miami Ohio and got to resign with no criminal record... (Sound familiar?)

The High School didn't question a man in his late 20s who should be able to work anywhere that just wanted to volunteer especially for them

Aldrich had/has a wife and other family members like his father who had to have known something at least by Miami Ohio and did nothing either.

CURRENTLY ALDRICH HAS A GLASS ETCHING COMPANY BUILT AROUND COLLEGE INTERNS

As a recruiter, I had to do many reference checks on people. I asked many questions and the former employers always told me a lot (mostly good stuff).

Kudos for mentioning mental skills coach Gary another of the three most culpable who also escapes the wrath.

#1. McD tells his FO and staff that he'll personally handle the situation and then waits over two weeks to report it to HR.
#2. Mr 'I'm so pissed' Vincent is the guy the victim trusted to help him and did nothing other than hand it to McD at the time. Who could possibly have more responsibility to go to the law than a former law enforcement officer and why pass on going directly to HR himself after being the only team official to actually hear the allegation?
#3 Mr Gary. This guy's fucking trained to handle these situations, reprotedly met with the victim and it sounds like he either didn't believe the victim and may have actually told him it was partially his fault.
The report has SB also pointing his finger at McD and Q as the two who wanted to concentrate on the finals instead of the allegations but the report didn't say what SB wanted to concentrate on for some reason or what anyone else in the meeting had to say for some reason. The report(like Prince Daniel)also brought up the fact that SB was a 1st year GM for some reason . Maybe the 1st year GM just followed McD's orders like everyone else but he was the GM and 2nd in seniority and he knew his father held much sway with the owner.

SB and Q paid the ultimate price,so be it but what price did the most culpable pay?

In that case the Blackhawks should have proactively figured out where Aldrich was working to warn employers.

Good points , but if you warn a future employer about something that the person has not been convicted for it is slander and deformation of character. Thats why is called innocent til proven guilty. At this point there seems to be no doubt that the dude was a complete ***** and did criminal shit. But maybe not so clear back then.

Again, leaving Q and the players alone in the context makes sense to me.

I sense they felt they had a *** problem and not a rape problem. They cleaned house like that should be their end of involvement. Kept it quirt, etc, but not to me because they thought they had a pedophile rapist on their hands.

Neither the former officer or mental skills coach felt it was a shut/closed case.

Right or wrong women have faced the same issues of evidence and their mental circumstance for many decades.

I love the progress, that we are talking about it, that we are mostly outraged. OK. Thats good.

I hate to see Q fall for something that wasn't his job, he held the opinion any good coach would given the full context and lack of clear information.

It wasn't Qs call to make and you don't end a hall of fame career in disgrace over some messy after hours party shit and a wrong opinion expressed in group meetings where he is not the final decision maker.

I don't really agree with how bluntly you describe everything, but it is my basic take as well.

The specific Q and McD quotes are direct from Bowman. Again who knows what in the report is actually true when it comes to the quotes and stories.

We know that Aldrich was able to go from Notre Dame to the Hawks back to Notre Dame to Miami Ohio, and back to his hometown high school with proven assaults at three of those places, and Notre Dame not complying with anything.

The reason why is much bigger than the Blackhawks. I keep asking if Miami Ohio handled their assault case correctly how was Aldrich able to go to the high school to volunteer after that.

For our readers....

What was said and when to Aldridge?

Did nobody take him aside and ask wtf is going on? Did he have a lie he told 3 weeks before the cup?

Full disclosure, I've been accused of a sexual assault in college I didn't do but do understand why I was the first suspect in a messy alcohol situation.

Rape is not cool but it's also not cool to be ruined by false accusations or a misunderstanding that was not fully or properly investigated to get to the truth.
