I wondered if this was the worst stat line for a pro bowl QB ever - it was close but apparently Vince Young in '09, Vick in '05, and Tyler freaking Huntley in 2022 have him beat.
Bridgewater made it in 2014(?) with 14 TDs

Bigger frame, Maye will get bigger without any issue. Mitch was filled out by the time he was drafted - Maye's floor & ceiling are much higher than Mitch's.

Maye had more college starts than Mitch - is bigger, faster, stronger and has a better arm. Don't think there's a single person who would have taken Mitch over Maye after their college careers and absolutely not after year 1 in the NFL.
Dude, we're in an obvious troll thread. The amount of posters taking the posts in this thread is kind of discerning.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
Maybe 15 nfc qbs will turn it down and Caleb will make it.

Maye would be the 4th or 5th best QB in the NFC right now. It's kinda sad really that we have to hope to be wrong moving forward because 17 games in, we were right.

Three major flaws to Caleb's game horrible mid to long range accuracy can't see the field and holds onto the ball too long.

lmfao no he is not. Idc how you rank them, but he's not better than any of the following:

  1. Stafford
  2. Dak
  3. Goff
  4. Love
  5. Purdy
  6. Hurts
  7. Kyler
And that's leaving off Lawrence, Baker, and Geno Smith

@Anytime23 You are very dedicated to this bit. But are you committed to it for the long haul? I'll be very impressed if you are.
It’s not a bit. I liked Drake Maye more since early last season and Drake Maye despite worse conditions looks better than Caleb. The more bears fans push back against this the stronger I become. Give in.
Idk about that. Josh Allen is huge. He’s 237 pounds. And Herbert is 6’5” and 236 pounds.

Mitchell is 222 pounds and Maye is 225 pounds (taller at 6’4” though).

Let’s face it, Maye is a taller less accomplished Mitchell Trubisky.
Helmet scouting is truly for the highest of iq individuals, clearly.

It’s only a bad stat-line because of playing time. Here’s a fun fact, take out his shorted games due to injury and his averages are all better than the generational qb in the best situation for a #1 overall pick ever!

We’ve had our differences but you’re spot on here Dan. If bears fans actually watched Maye they would see a guy who can read the field and make quick decisions with the ball. His anticipation is miles better than Caleb and a couple of his turnovers are because he has trust in his guys and in the offense. He wasn’t playing games to protect his statline. Real football player and teammate. The pats got themselves a real one!

So in other words his averages are worse than Caleb's. Even though Caleb had a subpar year.

Drake Maye had the worst-graded offensive-line (via PFF) AND the least-productive WR corps in the entire NFL as a rookie.

Dak is done, Goff is Alex Smith, Love is garbage, Purdy is bad, Hurts is carried by his legs and offensive line and Kyler is a flashy player 1 out of every 3 games.

Maye is a franchise QB who will start to carry the Patriots as the players around him get better.

Yeah he'd be one of the Top-5 QBs.

Those sound like a lot of excuses.

And you're the one who said "...top 4-5 QB right now...", not me.

NFC starting quarterbacks in order of EPA (since I know some folks really like that measure)

1. Jared Goff 2.8
2. Baker Mayfield 2.6
3. Kyler Murray 2.0
4. Jalen Hurts 1.6
5. Brock Purdy 1.1
6. Jayden Daniels 0.9
7. Derek Carr 0.6
7. Jordan Love 0.6
9. Dak Prescott 0.2
10. Geno Smith 0.0
10. Matt Stafford 0.0

NOW INTO THE NEGATIVES

12. Sam Darnold -0.1
13. Drew Lock -0.8
14. Kirk Cousins -1.3
15. Caleb Williams -1.8
15. Michael Penix -1.8
17. Daniel Jones -2.0
18. Cooper Rush -2.1

Maye would be 13th on this list if he were in the NFC (-0.7).

Didn't include anyone with fewer than 8 starts, except for Daniel Jones (5) and Michael Penix (3) just for a snapshot look.

Nah man, daniel watched a few games of a white QB and says he's better than all the black QB's now after a few starts as a rookie

Dont try to argue!

I like maye and think he may be great, but saying he's already better than dak, kyler and purdy is one of the dumbest things this moron has said, and he's said a lot of dumb shit.
