He's a good pitcher, a good clubhouse guy, the players like him, etc. But, I doubt he gets redign because the Cubs are getting youngers and I see at least 1 kid in the starting rotation next year. And, I'm fine with that.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  2. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Chicago State Cougars
  2. DePaul Blue Demons
  3. Illinois-Chicago Flames
  4. Loyola Ramblers
  5. Northern Illinois Huskies
  6. Northwestern Wildcats
Forget him. If you want to do something to the rotation, then you can hopefully Trade Big Z, sign Cliff Lee, call up Jay Jackson, and make Gorzelanny a reliever.

His K/9 rate is decreasing, his BABIP is insanely low, and he has gotten more swings out of the zone this year than any other year of his career. He is going to want a multi-year deal and the Cubs would be flat out stupid to give him one.

That one ended up happening with lee. They probably won't get Fukudome trade because of his horrible contract.

I'd be fine with eating 75% of his contract. Anything else is gravy. Although, I don't think that's the right way to go, it's the way I think we'll go.

The Cubs said they will eait half of Kosuke's contract next year and I think they will be able to trade him.
