Poles threw cash at Ogun because Flus has said how important that position is to his defense. It's like we found out about the injury today, it was caught before it was a problem. Also if Poles doesn't budge, next offseason subsequently becomes a major proving ground for him. What does he do with all that cap money to build a team? I can buy into the idea Poles is fighting for salary cap, and freedom to assemble a team. But my first evidence of him throwing around money comes from him trying to sign Obunjobi for 3yr/$40m? I'm not a cap expert, but still was a bit like what's the difference between him and these young guys. Same deal of why spend, and does he make you better? And then he ended up injured. It was a bad first look for a guy who's strategy seems to be boiling down to conserve money, build a roster, spend once you can compete
Why does he seem like a diva? The only times that Roquan has been a serious problem was his rookie contract and now. Pornstars hookups on boats during the beginning of covid won't be spoken about. He doesn't have an agent. Seems to me he'd rather represent himself and not pay someone money to do so. I think Roquan is all about his money and thinks he deserves it. He's a stud. Not his fault he's been snubbed for accolades.Quan seems like a diva. Reminds me of the Kevin Durant situation. Seems very arrogant and thinks hes the smartest man in the room. Not having an agent isnt helping, it hurts the chances of another team trading for him. No one else wants to deal with his BS either. Id let him sit out as long as he wants until week 8 and then if I couldnt find a good trade option Id send him to the worst team in the NFL. A guy like that seems like hed be a locker room problem with a new regime and so many young players. In an Ideal situation we could easily could have got at least a 1st for him, but with no agent and him going thru the media hes hurt his value.
Plus, add in how many games Hicks and Mack lost to injury over the last two years.dont think it matters much
different defense
Does Seattle need an ILB? If It's that pressing of a situation it may not be a bad idea to inquire about Metcalf.
Both players seem unhappy where they're at and the Bears DEFINITELY need WR help.
IMO there were a lot of good 4-3 MIKE LBS in this past draft class too. I really wish Poles had snatched one up.

Why fans have this obsession with guaranteed contracts is beyond me. Look at the Cubs and Jason Heyward. You want an albatross like that on the team for multiple years? Having partially guaranteed contracts is part of what makes the NFL great. You can get out of a mistake. But you’ll side with billionaire owners that still don’t give out fully guaranteed contracts and can cut people whenever they don’t perform. Don’t know why anyone would side with management unless the player is being ridiculous. If they don’t value him, then trade him. Should of did that in the 1st place before he just lowered his value with this request. They’re trying to take advantage of him because he doesn’t have an agent

I wish your Home Ec teacher taught you how to stick your head in a microwave. My teachers didn’t know how to teach me to hold a pencil with my left hand or write with it, so I had to figure it out myself. Kinda wish I was forced to use my right hand a little more growing up. Would be beneficial now!
Great but then fans should stop whinning when players want to get out of a bad contract for them. Playing at 10m is a mistake for Quan.
Lol, no—Let’s be real. Pace would’ve re-signed him months ago, probably to a contract that would fuck over the Bears in a few years.
Pace sucked, but Pace Derangement Syndrome is making everyone see zigs for every zag. I don’t know if Poles will be good, but I do know he wont be good just because he’s not Ryan Pace.
He may not have a choice.
We can’t have it both ways. If you’re ok with non guaranteed contracts, you can’t be mad at players trying to get the best contract possibleWhy fans have this obsession with guaranteed contracts is beyond me. I’m not mad though. ?We can’t have it both ways. If you’re ok with non guaranteed contracts, you can’t be mad at players trying to get the best contract possible
