Yeah, really.

To say Sammy wouldn't have survived without roids is silly. The Sox were dumb enough to dump him right before he blossomed.

what is silly is that he would be nowhere near the player he retired at. That is baseball Special person.

Great he hit 30 hrs and than became a monster. there are a ton of players who have 1 or 2 good seasons than fold. To think steroids didn't put him on the map is just dumb. he would have been another player that had a decent career that a lot of players have that no one talks about anymore if it wasn't for the roids. Lets stop the stupidity of defending him.

posting on these message boards with Chicago fans has become a joke.

I think you're putting words in my mouth, guy.

Without roids Sosa would never have hit 600 home runs, I am not arguing that. Hell I'm not even arguing without roids he'd be a great player. My point was that even if he never roided he could have been a 260/340 high 20s home run hitter for a few years, gotten old, and fissile out. That's what I mean by survive.

Show me a proven article on this.

Do your own research. He was on his last chance ticket when he left the Sox. A skinny outfielder with some power and low batting average. Went back to the D.R. and shooted up. Added about 50 pounds of muscle requiring about two tubes of clearasil a day for his acne:(
