Im loving this trade more and more by the day...this cap space will be insanely valuable
I don't think we can evaluate this trade until after free agency. If the Blackhawks don't spend the money wisely there than the trade was a waste, but I too am excited about the possibilities that this team has now.
I want the Hawks to get a deal done with Frolik because I really liked that third line that developed in the playoffs with Bolland and Bickell.
I wonder what the Blackhawks would have gotten for Campbell if they dealt him with Skille?

If anyone of those players is on the 2nd line, the offseason is a failure even with the campbell contract getting taken off the books.
I grow more and more concerned that the hawks will do the wrong thing this offseason and try to bring grindy guys and even past fan favorite players like burish and wiz.
I agree with you partially. I am really concerned about the depth at the forward position as we have a lot of guys that could be 3rd and 4th line guys. I would love to nab two top 6 forwards to make this an elite level offense.
I am not sure that Wiz wouldn't be a bad investment. He is probably going to be overpaid since he is coming off a career year, but defense might need to be addressed since this a team that was 4th in scoring and 18th in allowing goals.

IMO this was a product of fatigue and hangover affect. Keith was awful this past season, he in large part was the main problem with the defense. He was coughin up the puck to much and making half ass passes and at times didnt skate very hard. He was just one of the variables in a bad defensive team effort in 2010-2011. Deep playoff run, and olympics did not help the cause for the team.
I believe IMO shoring up the defense with an overpaid wiz is stupid. you can go:
keith seabrook
hammer campoli
leddy scott ( or another fill in 6th man)
No need to waste 4.5 or whatever on a ******.
Bringing Wiz back would add some sand paper this team lacks.
He's better than Crapoli. And how is Wiz a ******?
He & Seabs are fine.
Campbell traded to Florida Marlins
Adamle said this on NBC tonight...what an idiot.
like most boards, alot of stupid shit is said....it just seems like its alot of homers and people who have never heard of the blackhawks before 2009
I think your parenthesis is what matters in your D pairs. Give me Scott at forward and a better SAH defenseman to pair with Leddy so Leddy can develop some offense and not fear being able to take a few chances. Paired with Scott (even though Scott doesn't have enough speed/skating ability to put himself wayyyy out of position--if he's even in position in the first place...) I think the knowledge of how adept Scott is festers in the back of Leddy's mind and it prohibits him from being able to live up to his potential.
C'mon...Wiz is a ******. Just because he and Seabs kissed and made up doesn't change it. And if he's going to get 4+, he can be someone else's ******.
Who're the Blackhawks?
My eval of Leddy is a bit different I guess then yours. I don't see the ceiling being as high for him as a lot of fans think.

One last thing from Bowman: Olesz does figure into plans, but they not sure as a scorer or a checker. Up to Q at training camp. #blackhawks
