Not Wentz question but curious on your thoughts on Nelson Agholor? Is he underrated?

If I remember correctly, he had some bad drops his first few years but he seems to always make big plays down the field every time I watch him.

I think a A-Rob, Mooney, Agholor WR core w/ Graham and Kmet could be exciting and be a solid supporting cast for Wentz or whoever stud muffin takes snaps under center for the beloved.

He was a steal for the Raiders last year, believe he signed for vet minimum so I will be very interested to see what he commands on the market this year.

Thanks Pegger. And thanks for being a fan of another team and showing that you can have a reasonable discussion. You are a great example of bringing an outside perspective that I wish a couple of others could learn from.

What do you and Philly fans/media think is a fair return for Wentz? Will Philly fans be pissed if he's traded?

Is Wentz a system quarterback? Can he adapt to play under center or is he just an RPO quarterback from the shotgun?

I believe Nagy will ruin a QB before he fixes one. Do you agree?

Will the bears o line be good enough for Wentz to succeed?

Agholor is so frustrating. He's a good guy. Teammates like him and he'd be turning heads at practice, then when the game rolls around:

He's great after the catch and has speed to get open from the slot, but I just can't trust him anymore. I've gotten behind him and wanted him to succeed so bad that the failure has soured me.

I'm happy he played well for the Raiders, but in no part do I want him on a team I root for.

Now that Doug is gone, and assuming Wentz is traded, does that mean the issues with the team are resolved? Or is there still someone else within the organization that has brought on some of these problems?

He can do it all. His college ran a very pro system. Regarding RPO, that was more Foles than Wentz. I never thought he liked it that much.

One Wentz question, how would you rate his ability process information/read defenses?

Nagy? History suggests 'not. Di Filippo? That's where you have a chance to succeed. Di Filippo will have to coach him hard, but I'm confident he knows that.

Regarding the OL, probably not. This group did play a lot better late in the year, so there's hope, but I'd say you need some help there to keep Wentz' eyes downfield.

If/When Wentz is traded they are a few bad games from Hurts away from having no QBs. It's crazy co sidering after the draft I thought they had their #1 and 2 locked up for the next 5 years.

To your question, many of the Philly media hate Howie Roseman and blame him. I disagree. He's a perfect fit for the owner, so even if Howie was canned Laurie would hire someone that's similar.

The thing why I could see this help playcalling is bc Wentz will command certain things to showcase his talents. He will say what he likes and this coach/gm will cater to it bc of the desperation. Whereas Trubs didn’t have the success Wentz had previously to justify having confidence in his opinions.

Do you think Wentz is broken and if so can he be fixed and how?

Probably a 7/10. This past season was a train wreck, but normally he's better. I'd add, when he's on those tight window throws seem easy.

If you want to focus on a negative it would be his fumbling. He fights to keep plays alive and has a slightly longer throwing motion that exposes the ball too much.

Definitely broken, but also fixable.

Here's the thing with Wentz, he has top 5 talent, so you have an idea what his ceiling can be. If he was less talented you can ask if it's even worth it. With Wentz he's shown some crazy ability and elevated everyone around him.

To your question of 'how' he has to be coached hard. To explain, he's a type A personality that needs a bit of conflict for him to move forward. Previously that was Reich and Di Filippo. This past year he had Press Taylor, who was more of a Wentz groupie and Doug, who's a softie (as great as the Philly Special was, remember he just rolled over and let Foles call a play in a critical 4th down in the biggest game). Some training camp reports might make it seem like him and Di Filippo are not getting along, but the truth is that's what's needed to get the best out of Wentz.

Maybe another way to explain, if you gave Wentz the playbook in the offseason, but it was written in Latin, a month later he'd have mastered the playbook AND be fluent in Latin. He's that kind of crazy worker, but needs someone to keep his focus on the right things.

saw this on an eagles forum but do you see this as realistic

Latest rumor:
Eagles give up Wentz and a 2021 2nd rd pick to the Bears.
Bears give up 2021 1st rounder, 2022 2nd rounder, Foles and Roquan Smith.

Good to know, because Bears offense was better in play action with Mitch than rpo with Foles.

@Pegger we've all seen the supposed trade details. Foles/Cohen/1st for Wentz. Are you happy with this and/or what are Philly fans saying? Do you want Cohen or prefer another player (offense or defense) within reason?

I know this is Pegger's thread, but when you say Nagy will ruin a QB, what are you basing that on?
