Came in here thinking this was about Bruce Campbell. Instead we get this primitive screwhead. :)

Springsteen is not my cuppa tea, but to each their own.
If Chins could kill is a good book.

Springsteen da man tho

This.

Read biography, very much a bromance thing.

Clemons was a huge parties i guess lol. Always had cocaine and pussy in his room backstage in the 80s lol

Lol, read a biography of Bruce... I can think of 836743926 things I'd rather do. It's cool that a 30-something basement dweller has a mancrush on a *** "musician" (using that loosely) though.

I studied Guitar... cello was my first instrument, still teach cello every once in awhile... feel like im causing more harm than good so i try not to take cello students on. hahah

At least you aren't a percussionist or vocalist? Those ******* always stuggle in Theory I, more or less anything more advanced.

In other news; Despro is a fan of interracial homo relationships? I thought that had been established?

I need a new career.... any advice?

Thought your instrument of choice would have been the skin flute or mouth organ.

I'm not really a Springsteen fan, there are a few things I like. If I like anything about him it's the connection with his band and the audience and that he truly has fun. The audience gets more than their money's worth

In the 80s at the height of his popularity, I was going to concerts constantly but never really had the desire to go to one of his.

I am not a big Bruce Springsteen fan. But watch the movie/video Wings for Wheels: The Making of Born to Run and you will appreciate him. Or, listen to anyone of his better albums. I don't know what the big Springsteen fans consider his best but Nebraska, Darkness on the Edge of Town, Born to Run and The River are pretty good albums. Many would consider Springsteen second to only Bob Dylan as the most influential song writers in modern rock.

I get the "I don't like/appricate ________". Thanks to a fraternity brother I can't listen to Led Zeppelin. I may not appreciate them but they aren't "overrated" or bad and they don't suck, either. The same can be said for Clapton; his work with Cream and Derek and the Dominos assures that he is not overrated, or bad or suck. The Beatles chose him to play the lead on While my Guitar Gently Weeps (allegedly on the first take). I'm sure John, Paul, George and Ringo went out and hired the first hack they could find for the White Album.

Like the Eagles bands may be over-commercialized. Some are victims of their own egos (see the Eagles) and have long over-stayed their radio (such that it is anymore) welcome. But, overrated? I don't think that is the right term. And certainly "bad" or its synonyms aren't accurate either. Just because you don't appreciate the music or like the artist doesn't make them "suck". In fact, in most cases it just shows ignorance.

I've also never understand why there is so much vitriol when it comes to personal taste. Who gives a **** what you like or don't like and why do you care what someone else likes? Why cast aspersions?

Springsteen brings it live. I've only seen him once and I doubt I'll rush back but you won't regret seeing him. You'll know a lot of songs and the band is super-tight and very, very talented.

As for best albums, It's such a toss up between Born to Run and Darkness. I kinda put it as seasonal though. Winter time, hitting the weights hard, etc.. Darkness on the Edge of Town.

Summer time, cruising the streets, getting my motorcycle out; Born to Run.

Nebraska is just a great piece of art. Fantastic work.

no seriously i dont get why people think this guy is the greatest thing ever... any loser can mumble into a microphone the way he does. Ive heard it all trust me, my mom and dad love this shit.. i dont get it.

as a professional musician i just dont get... doesnt mean im right. but shit sucks

No, you're right. I mean, look at Bob Dylan, who made a career out of it as well.

I think people who heard these guys in the 60's were so stoned out of their mind that you could have a blender on stage and put a guitar in front of it, and they would have called it music.
