1. Chicago Bears (from CAR): Caleb Williams, QB, USC

Nothing is official until commissioner Roger Goodell steps to the podium in Detroit and announces the selection, but Williams will be a Bear in a little more than a week.

2. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

3. New England Patriots: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

4. Minnesota Vikings (from ARI)*: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

(Projected trade: Vikings trade picks Nos. 11 and 23 and a 2025 third-round pick to the Cardinals for No. 4.)

It is no secret that the Vikings are quarterback shopping in the NFL Draft, but how high can they trade up to secure their guy? In this scenario, Minnesota jumps to No. 4 for McCarthy, which would mark the first time in NFL Draft history we see quarterbacks drafted 1-2-3-4 overall.

5. Arizona Cardinals (from LAC)*: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

(Projected trade: Cardinals trade picks Nos. 11 and 35 to the Chargers for No. 5.)

Just like last year, Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort works the phones to trade out of the top five … but then jumps right back up to grab an Ohio State stud. In 2023, it was Paris Johnson Jr.; this year it’s Harrison. The smooth maneuvering costs Arizona the No. 35 pick here, but it adds No. 23 and a 2025 third-rounder for essentially moving back one spot.

6. New York Giants: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

7. Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

8. Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama

9. Chicago Bears: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

With only four draft picks this year, general manager Ryan Poles will be enticed by trade-back opportunities here to recoup draft capital. But when the Bears are feeling left out in the second round, they can throw on Odunze highlights and feel just fine about this decision. Adding Keenan Allen was a no-brainer, but he might only be a one-year rental.

10. New York Jets: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

11. Los Angeles Chargers (from MIN)*: JC Latham, G/T, Alabama

12. Denver Broncos: Taliese Fuaga, G/T, Oregon State

13. Las Vegas Raiders: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

14. New Orleans Saints: Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State

15. Indianapolis Colts: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

16. Seattle Seahawks: Troy Fautanu, G/T, Washington

17. Buffalo Bills (from JAX)*: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

18. Cincinnati Bengals: Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas

19. Los Angeles Rams: Jared Verse, Edge, Florida State

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Graham Barton, C, Duke

21. Miami Dolphins: Laiatu Latu, Edge, UCLA

22. Philadelphia Eagles: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

23. Arizona Cardinals (from MIN)*: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

24. Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

25. Green Bay Packers: Jackson Powers-Johnson, G/C, Oregon

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

27. Arizona Cardinals (from HOU): Chop Robinson, Edge, Penn State

28. Jacksonville Jaguars (from BUF)*: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

29. Las Vegas Raiders (from DET)*: Michael Penix Jr., QB, Washington

30. Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona

31. San Francisco 49ers: Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois

32. Kansas City Chiefs: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

Chicago Bears

1 (1). Caleb Williams, QB, USC
1 (9). Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
3 (75). Chris Braswell, Edge, Alabama
4 (122). Javon Foster, OT, Missouri

That would be a near ideal draft for Poles.
I'm really hoping the NYG trade up with AZ and take JJ, they have DJ for god sakes!

Dorlus went at 66 and he’s a guy I’m hoping lasts until 75. He plays DT and Edge and the Bears could use a guy they can move around like Walker.

I did notice some interesting names still on Brugler’s board at 75. Kamren Kinchens for sure…

You may get your wish as I would think that Braswell would go before Dorlus.
I would consider a slight trade up to get Braswell myself

It’s crazy, when I watched Bama I was so focused on Turner that I just don’t have a strong read on Braswell.

I think I read somewhere on this forum from @bamainatlanta that Braswell is extremely stiff which isn’t ideal for an edge.

I’ve watched Dorlus quite a bit. He’s just a tough guy that is productive and has position flexibility. Also, I understand he is an excellent teammate.

I know Brugler is super high on Kneeland - where did he have him going (top of the 2nd?), and where did Austin Booker get drafted at?

Regardless - Caleb - Odunze - DE - BPA is pretty much the fingers crossed hope draft falls that way best path for Bears and would be awesome.

He is stiff. But he can be coached; he is probably a much better fit as a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 DE. Flus isn’t creative enough to utilize a 3-4 Edge rusher. Braswell just won’t make a difference on this defense for a couple of years.

It will be interesting to see how that 75 pick turns out.
I don't think Poles would be like Pace and try to move up for a guy as they are all really developmental at that point.
The really fun projection is if the 3 WR's and Alt are all gone at 9.
I'm not sure that they can trade down at that point and would Poles go OL/DL if he has to stick and pick.

I love the fact Brugler has Foster as the pick at 122. He looks the part and with Morgan as his coach, he would have a chance.

He played a ton of college ball too. He had 41 starts.

It's not the ideal scenario granted, but surely can't be discounted.
With CW, Sweat, K Allen already in the fold from this years draft picks, it's really all gravy to me.
The right OL strengthens the offense while the correct DL helps the D.
A tidbit from DJ which could be of note.
He mentioned that he's heard from around the league that the first defensive player just might be Murphy.

He’s definitely connected. He would have to be part of a trade down. I don’t see him as a top 10 pick. Do you?

Based off of the top pundits boards you wouldn't think so but you never know.
last year, the top pundits all had Wright in the high teens and Poles took him 10th.
Same could hold true this year with Murphy as well.
He could very well be the 3 tech linchpin that Flusy dreams about.

That’s a great point about Wright and the draft in general.

I really liked Wright last year and posted about him often pre-draft. I loved the pick.
