There. All three closer candidates faced one batter each in the 9th. IS EVERYONE HAPPY NOW?!

:)

Honestly. I was terrified. Happy for Brett, scared for Matt and down right angry when Reed entered.

reed is the closer.

the 3 pitchers used was finally robin playing the matchups perfectly.

you arent going to demote your closer with 2 weeks left and hope that Myers NL numbers translate.

thornton should never close.

lefty closers are the worst

I agree Reed will be the closer even though he hasn't been as sharp lately. Like mentioned Thornton should never close, he has shown time and time again that he doesn't have it in him. As for Myers there is part of me that would like to see him closing over Reed since he has been more consistent and has pitched better over the last month than Reed.

I would leave Reed as the closer, but have someone ready to go in if he runs into trouble.

Isn't that exactly why KW got Myers? Reed always gets into trouble.

Again, I have a heart attack everytime I see Reed in there now. I can only hope that the players don't feel that way too

I don't know about that. They are human after all.

they arent fans. they arent looking at moves as if they are fans. totally different human or not. AJ has spoke publicly about reed and he mentions how much confidence he has in reed.

if the sox were freaking out anytime reed comes in that they would be freaking out at 70% of the pitchers that start or come in from the pen. again they arent fans.

Why baseabll would be any different once you hit the majors or any different then the other sports is a point you haven't explained. If AJ is upset at Reed's play he's still going to be chummy about it to the public more than likely.
