Sometimes when guys toil in anonymity with teams like Orlando, you don't realize how bad they are. But it should be a sign that the team is that bad with a supposed star on the roster.
The whole "Best player on a bad team" theory. That's what worried me about the whole idea of trading and spending a ton of money on Jerami Grant.

Well not every "star" is going to be a guy who leads a team to such success. The same things said about Vuc we could say about Zach Lavine who is going to make his first playoff appearance this year and get obliterated.

I mean if you want to be cynical about it, the Bulls pretty much assembled a team of career losers. Only Derozan, Caruso, and late add Tristan Thompson have had any success at all from a team perspective. And arguably Derozan's greatest contribution to the city of Toronto was getting traded for Kawhi Leonard.

I just saw a horrible idea on Facebook and thought I would share it as well as put in a much better version of the trade. The trade was based on the idea that Zach wanted out so the base would be to trade him for Zion. This made me lol.

So I thought about it and what kind of trade would I take for an overweight injured Zion. So I came up with this:

Let the darts fly.

The most astounding thing to me is that the Rockets projected wins went down by 28 and they're currently a 20 win team.

Even DeMar's isn't all that successful... 1 ECF appearance in the weakest East in existence. Two second round sweeps to LeBron. Struggling against other teams to win in the 1st round, often losing to lesser seeds.

Caruso and Thompson basically benefited from the best player in the NBA. Many think the Lakers never win that ring either if they don't play in the bubble.

Vuc has what, two first round losses? Zach has never sniffed the playoffs until now, same for Lonzo Ball (who technically still won't sniff them).

But for everyone else on the team, the experience should be nice, regardless of how bad the four games are.

My gut instinct would be that Detroit would have no interest in Coby whatsoever unless they're also sending back one of their plethora of guards also. They have Cory Joseph, Cade Cunningham, Frank Jackson, Killian Hayes, and Saben Lee that they've been using at guard for pretty much the whole year, depending on who was healthy. Is Coby definitely better than some of those names to Detroit? Maybe.
Detroit really wanted PWill in the draft.

And they may have tried, who knows…again, merely speculation one way or another.

what I’m speaking to is the numerous people on this board that hated the idea of trading coby at the deadline, and now a month or two later are clamoring for him to be gone
No one hated the idea of trading Coby white. The opposition was not to dump him for scraps, which was likely his value even at the deadline

The fact yall get Zion, Christian Wood, and Graham for White and Vuc is lulz
The trade machine will make anything happen so long as the salaries match

If you really think about it, Wood was being shopped anyway due to his issues and Wood for Val is a swap of borderline allstars. Vuc for Zion is an allstar for broken allstar that is leaving anyway. Graham for Coby is a backup tweener for backup tweener. It's all and all a fairly even trade on paper but I agree the potential of the Zion thing makes this trade lolz. But I was just really making shit up.

Well, get ready for another offseason of unsubstantiated Anthony Davis rumors

If you want to pretend that there wasn’t people stating how the bulls shouldn’t make any move at the deadline because they were afraid of messing with the chemistry, or that there wasn’t people that didn’t want to trade Coby because he was “playing well as of late,” then you have very selective memory

I remember all that but no one “hated” the idea of trading him. His value is trash now and was likely trash at the deadline as well. Really doesn’t make a difference either way. Hopefully him and Vuc are gone next season and they’re another teams problem.

I expect plenty of these and Zion rumors, most likely involving trading Zach for them.

Zion's worth is on potential alone. He cant shot, oft injured and could become the next Oliver Miller. No way is he should be in Zach's trade value level.

I wouldn’t trade Zach for either of them. Too injury prone. I’d be shocked if Zion has a long career and AD is guaranteed to miss a lot of time every year
