Here's the issues that I have:

a) Lee is at best a borderline starting quality player, he only looks good to us because we're starting an end of bench guy.
b) Would Thibs play Lee over Bogans? Until proven otherwise there's no point making this deal.
c) Why not just bench Bogans? You'd have the same effect as Lee without giving up Asik.
d) When Thomas is gone next year, and Asik passes Gibson in the rotation (IMO will happen) we've just traded a third big type guy for a third guard type guy. That's pretty much always the losing end of a trade.

I wouldn't even consider this deal unless there's a first thrown in.

well, thibs seems in love with bogans. But I think if we were to acquire Courtney Lee he would start him. It has been noticed that he is a favorite of coach thibs.

Asik is not worth a first round pick...that is seriously overvaluing Asik right now

When a player has a good game, I have never seen people jimp on a bandwagon so fast

Maybe this could result in a bigger trade. I doubt it though.

james johnson or asik? Asik's been playing like this rather consistently. he gives you very little on offense, but he plays like joahkim noah lite. I think everyone's held the same opinion of asik since he came in. The hesitation to trade asik doesn't say much about asik as it does lee.

if you're talking about JJ, i don't think anyone really cares about JJ's accomplishments in the d-league.

I'm not saying he's worth a first round pick, I'm saying Lee isn't worth Asik, so the only way I'd do it is if they overpay.

No bandwagon, I've been saying play Asik more pretty much all year. IMO as good as Kurt Thomas has been we've run him too many minutes when we could have given some of those to Asik.

Asik is weak down low, that is no secret. He will not play much at all once Joakim comes back and im sure we could find someone in the draft or Free Agency for pretty cheap who get the job done and do a lot more.

Asik is not going anywhere, coaching staff too high on him. An Asik/Lee trade is not likely to happen. But a Lee trade is still possible.

Unless I see documented proof, it will be hard for me to believe that Thibs is that high on Asik. They play him because they have to. That may be the case, but I don't believe it.

Noah was pretty weak down low when he started to. I didn't know what Omer would give us when he first came here, but I've been impressed with his excellent defensive footwork, rebounding, & underrated athleticism. I just don't see the Bulls FO giving up on a rook they traded 2 draft picks to get. He has exceeded everyone's expectations & is improving with every game he plays. And believe me, Asik will play when Noah gets back, much like he did when he was playing along side Jo earlier in the season when Booz was hurt. Thomas' minutes will be scaled back to help save him for the playoffs.

Personally, I'm tired of all this SG trade talk. We're a top 6 team people! And that's without Noah for the majority of the time. Keep this lineup together, see how far we can go, & then go after a 2 in the off-season. There's no reason to give up a solid, young big with potential to slightly improve the SG position.

from where? Who? I'm off the opinion that you could find a courtney lee through the draft or mle. you don't trade big for small unless you're getting back talent. I think myself and a few others are suggesting that lee isn't really that good.

And Asik? I love the dude but he is honestly one of the weakest players down low with the ball. Thats not what we need
