Bulls fear Rose has torn right ACL (Update: Torn Meniscus; surgery Monday)

I'm a huge Bulls fan & a huge D-Rose fan. I'm praying ray: that last night's injury is minor.

That being said, if it's an injury like some are speculating it to be, I agree with the posters that said his superstar MVP days are done. I also agree with those that have said it's time to blow it up. It should be a fire sale with the sole purpose of acquiring as many draft picks & expiring contracts as possible. We need to go into FULL tank mode in hopes of landing a stud lottery pick and/or another superstar to replace Rose.

The first people on the chopping block should be the Bulls medical staff. Our entire team has experienced unprecedented injuries these last few years. I don't believe that we're cursed with injuries. I believe that our medical/training staff is incompetent.

Hopefully this injury is not as bad as some fear, but if it is, the Bulls franchise needs to completely re-boot. The goal should be to draft a sure-fire superstar, sign a free-agent superstar, & wait for Rose to return as a complimentary player (3rd wheel) to the two aforementioned new superstars (lottery pick & FA signee).

Bullcrap. Rose's injuries has NOTHING to do with lack of help. This could have happened at any time. Countdown to the Mirotic era begins now.

Based on the various injuries over the years, I'd say our medical staff is crap. As far as Rose's knee conditioning, I would imagine they'd have him work out both knees to not allow compensation in one or the other. Rose could have been favoring his right knee over his left after he came back though which then puts stress on the ligaments. I'm not a doctor though so I can't speculate really.

This is very true.

Rose went down with no contact, which is what happened last time.

I wish someone would wake me up and tell me it was all just a bad dream.

This is hitting me hard,, because i could see this coming.
When someone see's the inevitable coming and cant d anything about it, it can be quite frusturating.

I felt like we should of traded Rose last season and got what we could for him.

NOW that he has TWO bum knees, good luck getting any value in return in the market.

When its confirmed that he did indeed tear his other acl, it could have a longterm negative effect on the whole franchise's future for years to come.

Even more depressing for me, is that while i watched the game last night, i was feeling very good because Rose was having one of his best games this season.

i say, pray hard and hold your lucky rabbits feet.

Not trying to sound wishy washy right now, but purhaps theres a chance that derricks new knee will be stronger when or if he returns.
The rehabbing seemed to strengthen his left knee.
Purhaps rehabbing will have the same positive effect on his right.
Thats about the only hope i can come up with right now......well, maybe not.

Thats pretty much what i was thinking.

Rose is a good guy, and i hate seeing this happen again.

Even if he fully recovers, i dont think his mental scars wouldnt allow himself to drive or push as hard anymore.
Hence, Derrick will never be quite the same no matter what.
Im not saying he wont be a decent player again, but im saying his 1 MVP may be his last.

Its a good thing Derrick got his MVP award his rookie season.
Purhaps that itself was a sign of things to come back then.
