You are obviously from another planet....most of what you say is stupid meatball garbage that I would expect to hear from a drunk. But here is the point....take notice basketball Special person...

Rose has been cutting and slashing to the basket before he went to Simeon! That is his style of play. How is it that the VP and GM are all of a sudden responsible for his ligament and cartilage damage? Your whole idea was stupid. Now what is really sad is you think you are right....lol. John Paxson is to blame for Rose's injuries? Dude, you are looney. And I don't know of much you've said that makes sense, let alone has "come to pass"...give me a break.

If you knew how to fucking read, I wouldn't have to keep repeating myself all the time. **** it, you're not that smart so I'll just give you a simple analogy. Rose keeps busting his ass for the same reasons why you're hero, Lebron, left Cleveland. If you can't figure out what that means, that's too bad. You're not worth my time arguing with someone who lacks intellect.

Lebron James didn't leave Cleveland because he feared tearing his ACL? He left to win championships! You repeating the dumb shit you think is....well, it should be criminal....because you are very wrong. Common sense states that you are wrong. The statistics state that you are wrong. The medical world states that you are wrong.

But don't argue with me, I think you are dumb as shit, and prove it continuously...I am bad for your ego. Carry on with the dumb shit.

Rose could opt for clipping the torn meniscus and be back in a few months. Doing this jeopardizes his longterm health and makes him a candidate for knee replacement somewhere down the line.

Rose Just turned 25 , think he dodged a bullet and hope the ACL was a freak injury.

I dont see the Bulls blowing this up anytime soon, and think Rose can Return to form later in the Season.

Go Bulls !

If Rose and Bulls decide to take out meniscus, like Wade did in college, it would likely be only a matter of weeks before he could return.3

If they decide to re-attach the meniscus, which seems more likely because of his age, it would be several months before he returns.

Details

Wade did the first option, he's obviously had nagging injuries his entire career, but he's been able to play for the most part.

The question becomes do you want to be an injury plagued (or arguably more injury plagued) player for the rest of your career, or try to have a longer one that is potentially more healthy? I think any reasonable Rose fan would say reattach it to prevent further stuff from happening, but I wouldn't be entirely shocked to see him remove it and come back to shooting 37% from the field with 6 turnovers again for the next month.

At this point, I just want Rose to be healthy.

LeBron left because he was tired of busting his ass every season with no help from his GM or owner. Rose literally keeps busting his ass for the same reason. Another elite scorer on this team would have allowed Rose to get acclimated minus the "MVP pressure." I bet someone as fat and stupid as you spends a lot of time "ignoring idiots." Why don't you find a Heat forum so you can hug up on LeBron's sack some more.

The REAL question is -- is Rose willing to renegotiate his contract? :shifty:

Unfortunately, NBA players can't restructure their contracts after they sign.

NO numbnuts...the only way Rose would get acclimated to playing the way he always played was to do exactly what he was doing. I swear you know nothing about basketball...I would be better off having this discussion with Stevie Wonder. Good grief...

What is this "MVP Pressure" bullshit??? Seriously? He is paid to be an MVP level player! Good grief man, you sound like a *****! Imagine Lebron saying "you know, all those years in Cleveland...I could have gotten hurt from all that pressure...could have torn an acl...." LOL! Rose wants MVP pressure! He should if he is an elite player.

But keep making up bullshit as you go along. I guess that MVP pressure got to Ricky Rubio last year? Kobe Bryant had a lot of MVP pressure.

And you are right, I spend a lot of time ignoring idiots and basketball retards, of which you are obviously a card carrying member...I should have ignored you from the beginning. Nothing you have said in this thread is worth paying attention to. But like I stated, carry on with the dumb shit.

This was the best news of a bad situation. All day today I was thinking doomsday scenarios for this Bulls team. Massive changes need to be made, but at least Rose's injury is not career ending, he cand return before the end of the year. I've heard reports that Deng is more likely to get traded, that's a start. There a war going on between Thibs and GarPax, it's time for them to kiss and make up, moves have to be made and new ideologies have to be understood. A new, younger core must be created.

Apparently taking out the meniscus leads to more bone on bone contact. We all know that's not a good thing, but especially for the way Rose plays imo that would be a bad decision unless he's willing to completely change his game. Seeing as how everyone wants to punt the season anyway, I can't see a logical reason why anyone would be upset with Rose reattaching the meniscus.

Derrick Rose surgery set for Monday

LOS ANGELES -- Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will have surgery to repair a medial meniscus tear in his right knee on Monday in Chicago, according to Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau.

The surgery will be performed by Dr. Brian Cole, the same man who performed the ACL surgery on Rose in May of 2012.

"[He's] headed back to Chicago today. He'll have surgery [Monday]. Then we'll have a better idea about what the time table will be," Thibodeau said.

Thibodeau did not want to speculate how long Rose may be out.

There are two options as to the direction Rose and his doctors will decide to fix the knee. They could either remove the meniscus, or a portion of it, and Rose could be back on the floor in a matter of weeks. What seems more likely, according to a source will knowledge of the situation, is that Rose and the Bulls will decide to have the meniscus re-attached, which would put him out for upwards of four to six months.

While the first procedure would put him back on the court sooner, many players who have had that procedure, including Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, say that it causes more problems later in a player's career. According to the source, given Rose's age (25) and the fact the Bulls have millions of dollars still wrapped up in his future, the likely scenario is that Rose and the organization will choose to take the longer approach with the hope that hr can return to being the same player before his first knee injury.

"The big part is they won't know [which surgery to perform] until they get in," Thibodeau said. "So we're hoping for the best. We of course feel very badly for Derrick. I talked to him at length last night. He's in good spirits. About as well as can be expected under the circumstances. And he's already thinking about his rehab and typical Derrick -- concerned about his team, his teammates. But that being said, we can't feel sorry for ourselves. We're the Chicago Bulls. We have one goal, that's to win. And I believe we have the personnel in that locker room to get it done."
Thibodeau said he expects Rose to make a full recovery but acknowledged there is disappointment throughout the locker room.

"There's disappointment for Derrick because of the type of person he is," Thibodeau said. "And he's such a great teammate along with being a great player. But I think we have an understanding of what we need to do. We know we can't feel sorry for ourselves. So we have to circle the wagons and then go out there and get the job done.

"You just take things as they come. This is all part of the NBA. Injuries are part of it. That's why it's a team. I have a lot of confidence in the guys that are on our bench. They've done a good job of preparing themselves. They have to understand what their job is, get in there, and get the job done."

Thibodeau believes Rose will be able to bounce back from his latest setback despite the fact that he will likely be missing major time for the third year in a row.

"I think his mental toughness is going to serve him well," Thibodeau said. "Whenever he's faced any adversity I think his mental toughness has gotten him through. I could tell from [talking to him on Saturday] that there was a resolve of determination. We expect him to make a full recovery. It's another bump in the road and he'll get past it."

Thibodeau confirmed Kirk Hinrich will start in place of Rose, with Marquis Teague serving as the backup point guard.

This quote by Thibs is true.

They told me the same before my son's surgery. They prefer to repair it, but sometimes it's too damaged to save it. That's when they make the decision to remove it.

We gotta keep our fingers crossed that it's a small tear that can be easily repaired.

I still think it would be wise for the FO to take this opportunity to blow up this team. I think it's our only chance to land a star player to play Batman, while Rose returns next season as Robin. I'm a big fan of Rose's, but I don't view him as the franchise cornerstone anymore because of his knees.

I don't think they should blow up the team, but possibly enter a mini-rebuilding stage. We obviously know that Deng won't be back next year, so maybe they can trade him before the deadline and try to stockpile draft picks. Anything they can do to tank the season and get in to the lottery and infuse the team with young talent. I'm still hoping that rose will be back and his oldself again, but it doesn't look likely. I remember a few years ago they were considering drafting johnny flynn and I thought it was a crazy idea. I don't think its a crazy idea anymore. They need to draft a pg with their first pick next year no matter what.
