Some of you who are now second guessing about possibly giving up "too much" are crazy. We're talking about the BEST, MOST DOMINANT player at the center position, and pairing him up with the face of Chicago and reigning MVP in Derrick Rose. I know the Bulls FO is questionable but they're not going to package a ton away without being sure he'd sign an extension. At this point, you do anything to pair these two and start raising some banners.

Well they would obviously have something agreed on before trading for him anyways. No way we would trade all that just to have him for one year.

Well some people here are willing to trade for Dwight even though he says he doesn't want to come to Chicago. They feel that once he comes that he will change his mind. That's why I made that comment. Ordinarily they would do as you've stated.

Sorry Crackz. But you sound like what the Knicks stans were saying about bringing Melo last season. They gutted a super deep team and now they have stars, but they also have massive holes and uncertainty. They are praying for CP3, because that's the only way they will salvage their decisions to get rid of a lot of players just for a star.

Dwight is great, but he's not going to be guaranteed to be better off here with that trade, on a team that isn't designed for his needs, over staying in Orlando, a team built(albeit poorly) around him.

Howard doesn't want to come to Chicago F him.

lol and I heard it is because it is to cold... I really just don't think it is that but two real reasons :

He won't be the star, Derrick will.

He won't get to big of a contract if he wants to come here and he will not anyways because he would rather have money than a championship.

listening right now.

So you don't want the Lakers getting Dwight obviously... lol

I don't think giving up half our team for Dwight is worth it.

I want Lakers fans to cry on opening night when he walks into Staples Center in a red uniform.

And if the Bulls traded Deng, Boozer, Noah, and Asik, their line-up would be:

Howard
Gibson
Turkoglu, Butler, Brewer
Hamilton (?), Korver
Rose, Watson

That is pretty damn solid of a team.

Go for it, sp94

I don't want the Lakers to beat the Bulls at anything, but I also don't want to give up 3 starters to get him either......its a tough call....

All I know is as of right now with the addition of Hamilton alone, we are a step better than last season.......without a 2guard last year who couldn't at least score 10 points a game, we won over 60 games, best record in the leage and made it to the eastern conferance finals...We were in almost every game in the series.......if we would of just had 10 more points a game, we might have gotten past the Heat.....One thing that this team has is great chemistry...and losing deng will be hard to replace...A decent small forward avalable is not easy to find.......But finding a center like Howard is next to impossible....I don't know......it would be nice to see Dwight Howard in a Bulls uniform against the lakers on christmas...

But yes of course, who wouldn't want Dwight Howard....its just a matter of how to hustle more out of Orlando in return for giving them our starting line up minus rose.....Or them takeing less from us by adding miritoc and draft picks.........

Getting deng, boozer and noah off the books would be a large payroll, but it would take that to pay howards salary if he signs an extension and he will want Kobe type money.....which will leave the bulls bankrupt without the ability to pay for a decent cast to put around Rose and Howard.....and if Taj steps up as a force in the starting line up, his value will go up and we won't be able to pay him when his rookie contract is up....

P.s, ill try the voice recording gizmo tommorow, maybe....
But I should charge a fee for people to hear my golden voice...:troll:

Assuming no third team was involved to sweeten the deal:

tradeMachine

After that:

Dwight Howard, ?
Taj Gibson, ?
Hedo Turkoglu, Ronnie Brewer, Jim Butler
Rip Hamilton, J.J. Redick, Kyle Korver
Derrick Rose, C.J. Watson

The main thing the Bulls would need to do after that is get rid of either Redick or Korver and/or Ronnie Brewer (for another SF and maybe some picks) and sign some big men for the veteran's minimum.

And, after this season, amnesty slash Hedo Turkoglu and try to inherit some more cap-space.
