Wade has pretty much disassociated himself from Chicago (probably due to that crazy ex wife of his)

I think hes more of a Miamian than Chicagoan at this point. So any "coming home" stuff means squat to Wade. the way he bad mouthed us last time (true or not) i wouldn't even give him a call. plus im tired of being used for leverage.

How did he bad mouth us? He said that we're not loyal and ironically enough, we just traded Derrick Rose lol...even more ironic is the fact that this is only a discussion because Riley low balled him after Wade took paycuts in the past. I think Dwayne now sees that no organization is unconditionally loyal. To anybody.

What does trading rose have anything to do with loyalty. Rose didnt even live up to his contract.

It's just funny. You trade the hometown kid and former MVP after his best season since his ACL injury. Not that I blame them. Either way, everyone should know that organizations are only loyal to the organization. Dwayne was delusioned enough to think otherwise. Patty Riles convinced him to take pay cuts, then his best friend bolted, and now the guy who convinced him to take pay cuts is super low balling him. Wake up, Wade. There is no loyalty in sports and barely enough left in the real world. People and organization do what's best for them and their immediate interests. Point blank. Honestly, I think if Wade came here he would be in a better spot than Miami. Not only financially, but as far as the roster and future assets go. Any word on if Bosh could even play next season?

I think Bosh could be done. Blood clots are no joke. Who wants to take a chance that another Reggie Lewis or Hank Gathers happens again?

Assuming that's the case, I don't see any reason for Wade to stay. A low ball offer and their 2nd best player is who....Dragic or Whiteside? He's as good as gone, IMO.

i said true or not. although i don't see trading Rose as unloyal. i mean the guy was payed handsomely and didn't give us much in the way of production during the duration of the contract...i think how we did Thibs was more unloyal

Hey, no arguments there. The FO undermined Thibs big time. And like I said, I don't blame the FO one bit for trading Rose. Personally, do I feel like it was un-loyal to trade him? No. But do I think some players around the league might feel that way? Probably. Either way, my main point is that no organizations are loyal and I think Wade is finally seeing that fact.

I don't actually. But I remember a playoff series when Posey was dirty as **** the entire series (possibly season) and Noc had the PERFECT opportunity to lay him out on a layup attempt and he didn't do anything. Didn't even foul him. I lost a little bit of respect for Noc at that time.

then Pat elevated audacity to symphonic and operatic levels saying Kirk was dirty

I don't see the problem with Wade at 2 yrs/40 mil. We would still have cap space next season to bring in a max guy and Wade certainly won't hurt recruiting wise. Wade with 1 more year left, Butler, Valentine, some of the young guys (Portis, Doug, Grant) and our own 1st round pick + MAYBE the Kings pick isn't a bad sales pitch to Griffin or Westbrook. Maybe even Durant if he only signs for 1 year. Signing Wade brings virtually no downside whatsoever.

Finally a voice of reason. Wade is coming off a year where he nearly took the Heat to the ECF, without Bosh or any real consistent 2nd option. Riley gave him an offer around $10 million per. That would mean he's getting paid less than Jon fucking Leur. Let me say that again: JON FUCKING LEUR. There's no way I see him really staying in Miami now. I'd say it's close to 90% he leaves. And the Heat are in talks with the Sixers on a Dragic trade, so it appears Riley is really to blow everything up if he doesn't get Durant. He must really feel that Bosh is done as an NBA player.

But agree 100% on this. There is minimal risk here and great reward. A revitalized Wade, back in his hometown, playing in an up-tempo system, along side another great perimeter defender, olympian, and allstar. I don't want to sound too excited, because that is seriously frowned upon on these boards, but adding Wade to the team will instantly put us back in the playoff picture next season, with a potential to actually compete in the playoffs. Everyone who thinks Wade is done as a player, have not been watching the NBA the past few years. He still has a lot left in the tank.

I would MUCH rather have Wade. It's not even close...but I'd be ok with Rondo as long as he doesn't sign longer than 2 years.

I personally don't want either. I'd rather tank the season and see how the young guys play.

The young guys are going to play like young guys with a limited ceiling....because that's what they are. They'll play well in spurts but the consistent game changing play won't be there. TBH, I think this team right now is better, or at least as good as the team last year so "tanking" won't happen. Signing Wade might get us to the 2nd or even 3rd round but more importantly, might help the front offices perception around the league and maybe attract a key player next season. There's at least some upside there. Watching young but limited players compete for a .500 record doesn't bring any upside.

I'd agree with you if Rondo and Wade weren't old
