Six years ago I would've been ecstatic. Now? I feel its a dumbshit move. I would rather trade Butler and blew this shit up.

I am floored. Worst shooting back court in the league.

well Paxson finally got Wade

this also opens the door for CP3 next season with him and Wade being good buddies. thats what i feel this move is based on...next years FA class...Wade/Butler is intriguing to potential FA's and we'll have the money

still surreal they finally got off their ass and made some stuff happen especially with how bleak the future was in last years dumpster fire...im surprised we got anyone at all

Get rid of two beat up former all-stars, sign two beat up former all-stars.

I'm not entirely sure the Bulls do any better this year than last. 14th pick here we come again!

there was an interesting theory floating around that wade is paxons ken griffey. Kenny williams really wanted griffey and made multiple attempts to get him.

They probably are not any shittier in 2016 than they were in 2015. But, there is no confidence that they are developing in the right direction to build a championship caliber team.

Dwyane Wade was my favorite player in the league from 2005-2010.

All I wanted was him to join the Bulls.

It was all I wanted.

I even sent him twitter mentions and asked him to come here. The fandom level was that severe.

With that said, this is six years too late.

You send Rose away (a younger player with knee problems seemingly on the upswing).

Then sign Rondo to replace him with (a slow-paced half-court PG for an up-tempo style of coach).

Then sign Wade (an older player with knee problems) and give him "Rose money".

So let me get this straight. The Bulls' "plan" was to get younger and more athletic. They trade Rose (their most athletic player despite the injuries) for garbage (yes, garbage) for an older, less athletic PG who is an overall punk with bad leadership. And then get Wade in the near twilight of his career.

Fucking brilliant.

Now their entire perimeter can't shoot three's. Rondo (down-tempo). Wade (down-tempo). Butler (ball stopper).

The sad thing is I could deal with the mediocrity if I could have seen one year of Wade and Rose.

**** life as a Bulls' fan.

**** you GarPax.

This is such a Chicago Bulls thing. We've been clamoring that they never sign shit, then they go and do this offseason.

Like a wife complaining that her husband never takes her anywhere nice, so he takes her to the Olive Garden. She'll eat, but she won't be happy.

im pretty pessimistic but even im excited about next year...im surprised ppl are still pissed off. if the plan wasn't blow up the team then they have done a hell of a job this offseason turning over the roster

even though they can't shoot, i except them to be funner to watch than the dorky lineup we put out the last few years....they will def play much faster but wont be a bumbling mess on the break

also theres still a chance we get some shooters to fill out the bench

All that I can say is that is Reinny at his best and worst. Its all about tickets and nothing else. This team will be marginally better than last years team for the next two seasons. Maybe they will be a 47-35 team and maybe win in the first round. Its going to be a train wreck in the making with both Rondo and Wade coming into Butler's team. And Freddie as a head coach.

All that being said, this is going to be the Bulls starting line-up next season:

Rondo -- PG

Wade -- SF/SG

Butler -- SF/SG

Lopez -- C

PF -- Mirotic

Hate this team all that you and I will but that team has a good amount of talent on it along with some talent on the bench who can develop. That team will maybe win 47-50 games next year unless someone blows their cork which is certainly possible.

Did you just call wade a sf/sg? He is a combo guard if anything.

I don't care what you call him. He is not a point guard so your combo guard argument is incorrect.

The key is Rondo. He will be better in the backcourt than Rose.

This is far from guaranteed. I think it'll be a close wash...but with better chemistry/energy all across the board. Rondo's offensive ineptitude will definitely frustrate the hell out of a lot of fans, as will his defense...but the guy is one of the brightest in the game, and if he runs the offense like he can, it will probably slightly outweigh all of his deficiencies.

The thing is that Rondo is what I would call a poacher on defense. He plays off of his guy and gets quite a few steals. In addition he is a good rebounder for his position, especially an offensive rebounder.

You are comparing the Bulls to Olive Garden. The Olive Garden is actually average to a little above average. The Bulls are more like Golden Corral.

While its probably 3-6 years too late to get REALLY excited about signing wade, I think we have a pretty solid mix of veterans, flexibility and possible cap space next year to attract a cp3-westbrook-etc

Here's how I see the roster

Rondo/Grant
Wade/Valentine
Butler/McDermott
Mirotic/Portis
Lopez/Gibson

Dinwiddie-Snell-Feliciano-Zipser to round out roster for now, but can see Dinwiddie and Snell dumped for upgrades at pg and sf with better shooters.
