that bit is called the defensive circle. you know usually how you can draw a charge by not moving your feet and all that? if you're in the d circle, you can't draw a charge there. even if you're foot is just on the line.

this bulls team is going to be so much better when he gets back...although asik did a reasonably good job.
deng had a weird game. he was so cold at the beginning and then started playing well. he needs to be more consistent. boozer killed us with his d, and taj just hasn't played well in forever.

Bulls get killed again on free throw discrepancy. Blazers made 37-40 free throws (92.5%). Bulls made 11-18 (61.1%). That's a 26 point difference ... and they lost by 6!

no, but things are going badly so you can use bogans as a scapegoat. thibs said why change what works.
i think that jo will help in games like these. first he can hang with LA. plus he brings energy to the team, even in road games in february against middling teams. we're missing that.

Did you watch the bulls offense while bogans was out there? the moment korver entered the game, the bulls starting scoring off better looks. When you doulbe rose, help on boozer, and have single coverage of deng or taj; the bulls offense sucked. Rose had to expend a shit ton of energy generating mediocre to crappy offense. once korver entered the game, they single covered rose. he played like a superstar in the fourth. Is that a coincidence, or does bogans suck the life out of the offense?
No. bogans playing didn't force aldridge to off. It did prevent the bulls from playing effective basketball on the offensive end.

I don't really see how you can get upset at the offense when the Bulls allowed 109 points against one of the slowest teams in the league. You're going to need one hell of an offensive night to win if you play defense that badly.

The offense didn't suck, because derrick rose played out of his mind. This game shouldn't have been THAT close.

the d was awful. boozer just DOESN'T cover players who extend like dirk or aldridge. he got killed by that. i can't wait until we have noah back so he can just tell boozer to box out pryzbilla and keep the hell out of the way...if boozer wants to win a title, he's gonna have to move his feet.

i know that it's vital to stretching the defense but i wish rose didn't put up so many threes...he can make them at times, but it kills his shooting percentages.

I'm not sure who this is directed towards, but I have a counterpoint to slip in(one I made earlier.)
If you are getting phantom foul calls, ticky tacky crap called, and flat out whistles that aren't happening on the other end of the court. Can you(if you put yourself into these players shoes for a second) maintain the level of intensity and defense needed to hold a team under 100 without fouling out or causing/getting injury.
