That game was insane. I wanted to do a podcast when I got home, but I lost my voice from screaming so much at the game.

Mapelgleaf is a grade A heckler, I'll tell you that.

Gordon sat for eight and a half minutes. We were -17 in those minutes. I don't know if that means anything given that Gordon didn't have a particularly great game, but just kind of interesting. Could be somewhat because we offensive defensive subbed him some though.

On my way back from the game, in the train right now. Highlights:

*Meeting Tyrus before the game and getting my jersey signed
*Sitting next to a Celtics fan and getting to rub it in the poor guys face
*Making a video of Neil Funk walking around on his cellphone in a red jumpsuit
*Seeing KC Johnson and Bill Wennington catch up on things
*Hanging out with doug and maplegleaf at halftime.
*THe home crowd, as I was telling all the doubters, would be loud and awesome and they were. Nobody gave 2 s**** about the bigmacs.
*Watching Marbury shoot around normally and then right before gametime show up with his eyebrow bandage

I thought the crowd was pretty mediocre for most of the 4th and OT, but it came alive in 2OT. It seems like the crowd was only feeding off good play rather than trying to inspire it. Still it was definitely not a bad crowd.

So I will say this. I am happy now with this season. Thrilled. 6 games vs Boston in the first round is more then I could of asked for this season. We can loose the next 3 and it's been a good year, anything else is simply icing on the cake.

salmons is being a ball hog often times in the game.

he needs to distribute the ball more.

I was fine with how many shots he took I just thought he dribbled around to much instead of just shooting the ball. He doesnt have the ball handling capability to do what BG does and often gets himself a worse shot than if he just shot it right when he got it. He did this late in the shot clock which caused a few horrible shot attempts, he just needs to shoot the ball or drive.

Me and RyGuy were sitting next to each other (thanks for the tickets Doug) and BOY we were LOUD. I have NO VOICE left - thank god I can atleast write. I mean wow!!!!!!!!! What a experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my very first playoff game and Doug, guess what? We are undefeated every time I been to the game. Doug, do your best and get me a ticket for game #6 coz if I go, we are guaranteed to win.

Oh man, our whole section was pretty darn loud and I did my best shouting every damn second. Wow My throat reall hurts right now every time I try to say something.

Rose and Rondo matchup is just so good. The only thing is they have 5 players on the floor who can score while they have to mainly lock down Gordon and Rose and they are good - especially when Salmons was antarctica cold in the first half.

I was saying to RyGuy that if it goes to 2nd OT somehow, we definitely win this game and right on, it did go to 2nd OT and we did win. Man, this series is super exciting to watch.

Yep, nice to meet you man. I feel you on the voice thing, i'm sitting here drinking some warm tea and honey haha. I think we all did our part in getting loud.

I think one of the main things that Cool and I noticed was the lack of 3 second calls in this game. I mean, there was literally times where a Boston big guy pump faked like 7 times right by the hoop and they just let it be. What's the purpose of the rule if they never enforce it?

No, there were two of me :p

Yeah, they missed so many 3 sec calls. I was literally counting there as Pierce was there atleast 2 times, fake fake fake pass and the big guy would still be in there and even Pierce was still in there as well.

I was like how come our coaches don't yell at refs like "three" "three" or something coz that happend a lot of times.

Doug, how'd those seats end up? Close enough to see your reflection on the back of Funk's head?

How can you not love Ben Gordon? He had one play, not sure when it was, third or fourth quarter, where he split a Boston triple team to score on a jumpshot after Ray Allen knocked the ball out of his hands, giving Gordon another dribble. Then he had that runner while double teamed, that I believe either put the Bulls up 2 late in regulation. Then of course the big three.

I do think Ben Gordon went a little bonkers in the beginning of the second overtime period. Not that I have anything wrong with what he would do normally, because I believe on all but one of them he generated a pretty good look, and the "bad look" was really not that bad. But with a hamstring injury and falling flat on his back prior to that, I don't think it was any time for him to be trying to take over by himself.

And who says Vinny can't make adjustments? Getting Boston to switch on the pick and roll and letting Rose drive on the Boston bigs was brilliant. He better do that next game.

And this is the difference between Vinny and Skiles. Skiles never could get our guys prepared for the big games. In the Detroit series, he couldn't get our guys to respond until we were down 3-0. Vinny, after the embarrassing loss, has our guys back playing hard, pretty focused basketball.

And Ben Gordon, +20 while he was on the court, in what was only a 3 point game. -17 when off. When Gordon is on the court, it just opens up things so much more for the other players on the team.

I am proud of Joakim Noah, he had big stops in the second overtime, big rebounds, and had that big dunk as well.

Tyrus Thomas is the weak link in the front court. Poor defense and stupid decisions on offense, and he doesn't exactly hustle. If we could package him to get Amare, Bosh, or Boozer, while keeping Noah, I think our team would be elite.

Wow I am so disgusted with John Salmons, I am so worried that next year if we dont have BG this guy will be our starting two guard. As for Tyrus Thomas, i cant understand how people defend him. If this team wants to move forward we need to deal him.

Agreed. Packaging a future pick with Salmons might be the wise decision going forward to keep BG, while staying under the luxury tax. Kirk Hinrich is a great 6th man. We simply have the guards taking care of with Rose/BG/Hinrich. Then you just work with Luol Deng to get him back on track, get him taking threes. I think Timmy could be a suitable backup small forward if he has a good conditioning summer with the Bulls too.

John Salmons really looks like Larry Hughes out there. Even if it's because of his injury, and not the increased scouting of the playoffs, you have to be concerned, because Salmons is old, and old players tend to get injured quite frequently.

If I told you before the game that we would give up 25 and a triple double to Rondo, 28 to Ray Allen, 29 to Pierce, 15 to Perkins, who honestly would have thought we could have won?
