I know, but my intention is to not fall farther out of contention, but to at least make a run and finish above .500 or even in the playoffs with how bad the division is.

I think the Cubs will have a better chance with the younger players than the vets right now.

I came up with:
Miguel Tejada - BAL (was a SS until this season, now 3B, but should be an easy conversion)
Dan Uggla - FLA (Marlins are cheap)
Kelly Johnson - ARI

Just as possibilities. If you can think of anyone better then please share.

I wouldn't do any of those, I would want younger players in return that could be on the Cubs for years to come. I was also thinking about KJ until I thought of what I just said.

I'm just into that high on Barney. And Uggla isn't too old and I am OK with a vet. I only want them until 2012 or 2013 or whenever Hak-Ju lee is ready.

Again, only to give Hak-Ju Lee time to develop, and have someone that will hit well and have an immediate impact. A young player could potentially block Lee.

I thought Lee was suppose to be good at defense, he has 21 errors this season already when I check a week ago. But Uggla is not that great at defense and hits for power not average.

I think you mean to say, "I'm just not thast high on barney", right? If so, I agree with you. I think he will be like a Theriot at the plate but a better fielder.

The team's average is up from last year. What we NEED is some power and RBI power.

Uggla can help on that, I would imagine. As he can hit for power and drive in runners.

Lineup could be:
1. Colvin
2. Castro
3. Byrd
4. Uggla
5. Lee
6. Ramirez
7. Soriano
8. Soto
9. Pitcher

Talk about a deep lineup, lol.

I do like that lineup but since we don't have Uggla. The lineup I would put out there right now is: Colvin, castro, Lee, Ramirez, Byrd, Soriano, Soto, Theriot, pitcher. This is also a pretty good lineup.

Sounds decent, but NEEDS someone like Uggla whom we don't have.

That'd be awesome.
