Great script. It's like a Netflix series with plot twists every day.

Do you really think the Bears would admit to being forced into it? The Bears wanted CW in Chicago today. The CW team said no. What part of that says mutual?
There was a thread on Twitter/X yesterday about Kurt Warner being offered a tryout with the Wanny Bears, except the day he set the tryout for was his wedding day. He asked the Bears to reschedule, and they did. Did Hatley/Wanny capitulate to Kurt and Brenda Warner?

If I recall Warner never even made it to his tryout. And I haven't read anywhere that Caleb is getting married or has something pressing this week. His team just said no. So yes.....it is capitulating.

You all forget about us capitulating, we don't have a good batting record with QBs or offense. He is the highly projected #1 whether that's our #1 or someone else's.
So yeah, capitulate because the QB was planning on ordering pizza that day because we're lucky every QB in the draft isn't threatening to play baseball as long as we have the #1.

^This. Not sure how we could force a voluntary process anyways, unless we are just assholes and demand it of him and his team, while threatening to draft someone else. Like you said, they would just say, ok....go for it.

That won't be happening until after his Pro Day at USC on March 20th.

From all indications, it shouldn't be an issue. But there are definitely some "what if" scenarios here. And if you think about it like this: The Bears trade Justin Fields, then do a full medical work up on Caleb Williams and find an "uh oh". That would be a disaster for the Bears.

That is the biggest concern here for me. I definitely feel a bit uneasy about the Bears trading their QB before they have everything they need to know to be completely certain on drafting Caleb Williams.

How much of a concern do you guys think this is? And how much of a concern do you think this is for Poles? I'm not going to panic about this or anything, but it definitely is a concern. And it may be a concern going forward as other players opt out of medicals at the NFL Combine.

EDIT: I used the word "concern" a whole lot. 😎
I am hoping he isn't using this as a opportunity to potenturally literally tank the Bears plannings upon drafting him by arranging some sort of a short term injury for his visit that results in the Bears not drafting him because he is acturally more interested in being on another team but maybe perhaps it would be for the best if Poles then gets the "haul" and Caleb ends up being a bust after all but by the same token we wouldn't know nothing until a couple of years from now and by then everyone would then be a fan of wherever Justin ends up or just quitting Bears forever and also football forever.

And probably send thank you notes.

I often dream of the day when I will quit the Bears and football forever...

I was writing this up yesterday, but then erased because I felt like I was panicking. lol.

Glad I’m not the only one who sees that risk of trading JF1 a week before we get the medicals on CW.

I’m sure it’ll be fine no matter what they find, but the CW team making us sweat for no reason.
The McCaskey's have sold the team to team CW.

If there is a medical question so severe that the Bears change their mind about taking him #1, and have already traded Fields, they'll just draft a different QB. That QB will still have a chance, in their rookie season, to be better than Fields was last year.
Doubtful...

Which particular QB do you think this of if you are making this claim or are you only claiming this as a possible potentiality because you dislike Justin Fields so much that you think any rookie can be better then him?

Do you have data towards supporting the housing price decline in green bay or are you just stating this without fully or even partially researching this as a way to disparage residents of green bay or encourage a bad investment in real estate?

I will never understand what it is as far as meaning is concerned when you reply with a checkmark with no context but contrary to what @Bearcub13 claimed the green bay housing market has seen a year over year INCREASE in pricing of almost 10% since 2023 so he is facturally incorrect and being misleading when he says home prices are dropping when they are acturally rising significantly.

See this article which monitors the market there

This could be a way to keep the Bears from trading the pick? Not saying they are thinking about it but teams without his medicals won't be offering "Dahaul"
