See you there! I can't wait. Hopefully I finish higher than last year. There were still about 40 players left when I got booted. Moved tables and landed right on the big blind at 180k. I only had 200k so had no choice but to go all in. There were only four tables left at that point.

I didn't get any cards last year. I was at Jerry Azumah's table then Troy Brouwer's. I got knocked out there right away. I won a small tourney in Vegas this year. It all depends on getting cards and luck. At tournaments like this, people who don't know how to play call at the wrong times and get lucky. There just there for the Hawks. I'm there for both.

I finished about 35th place. The first table that I was at didn't have any celebrities. Then I was moved to Keith's table and he didn't want to be there. He kept calling everyone down with crap just trying to lose and he wound up winning like 60,000 thousand in chips. So I started telling him I would go all-in. He gave me almost all of his chips. He was down to 6,500 in chips and went all-in. Another guy and I called. Duncan had 3/5 off-suit, I had Ace/8 and the other guy had ace/7. He wound up catching a 7 and Duncan's jersey. He couldn't get out of there fast enough. lol. Then i was moved to a few other tables, and wound up with Hendry on my right. Jordan went all-in along with two others and me. I caught a flush on the river and won his jersey. He was a little pissed because i think he had a side bet with Brouwer. Brouwer said that if he knocks me out that he wants the jersey. i wound up getting a bad beat and knocked out. Brouwer was the last celebrity in, Crawford was 2nd and Hendry 3rd. I had a great time again. Plus it was for a good cause.

We did not have a celebrity at our first table either. I think I finished about 125th or so this year. About 10pm. Some ****** went all in with A/J and I called with A/K, he drew the J on the flop. Lucky *****. I ended up sitting on the couch in the VIP area watching the rest of the Tourney. I left with Brouwer and he's got some bragging rights as this is the 2nd year in a row he was the last Hawk standing.

Good cause and a good time although I thought all the autograph people were a little too aggressive but thats just me.

Keith had a Hammond police captain providing security for him. And that Captain threw some guy out who was hounding Toews. There were more people hounding for autographs and not playing poker. Keith signed everything, but din't look too excited about it.

my last hand, I had to go all-in with K-2 of hearts because I only had two big blinds left. One guy called me with 8s and another guy called with A-J. I flopped K-2 on the flop. But a Jack came on the turn and an Ace on the river. Typical bad beat.

How many total players?

500

They had 200 more poeple attend this year than last. Unfortunately most of those were "observers" who's only intent was basically hunting down the players for their autographs.

I agree. I just think it detracted from the event to some extent. It was different last year.

I still had a great time and will do it next year too. But certain things were different. People just looking for autographs. Also the food was better last year. They had prime rib, chili dogs and such. This year was more quesidillas and wings. There was turkey and ham, but i only had a piece of ham. Also they had a band instead of a d.j. i liked the band better. But in the events defense, I played poker a lot longer this year and didn't have time to look around. We also left earlier around 11.

I'll go again next year as well. Although I played about 3 hours longer last year, the guy that lucked out on his KJ Vs my AK after going all in was the one that nailed Brouwer. Figures.

All in all it's a great event, for a great cause. Agreed 100% on the food too.

If you're a fan, it's well worth it. I can't think of an event where you can talk to the players past and present of professional sports team for extended periods of time?

I would love to go, just can't justify the money unfortunately. I'm not that big baller yet. Too many bills.
