Cancer is horrible. I can't believe the mortality rate is still as high as it is. Sure it's come down dramatically, but it's 2015. Wish there was a one treatment "cure all" by now.

My brother has been fighting cancer for a little over a year now. He's too far gone at this point, docs say it's just a matter of time.. Sorry to all of those who have had to watch a loved one suffer through this shit. It's not easy.

No disrespect to your brother, but I would have a two step plan if that was the diagnosis my doctor gave me:

1.) Break the doctor's nose for writing a death sentence.

2.) Live another decade out of spite.

I would also recommend third and fourth opinions as misdiagnosis is becoming absurdly common.

Sorry, ******. I too, like everyone else here, have been touched by cancer. My Mother passed away about 7 years ago. I still think about her and get choked up. She never got to meet her grandkids and that's the worst part.

Peace be with you.

My mother died at 57 from Lukemia. Took ten years to finally beat her down. The cure was as bad but she said it was worth the extra 8 years. Was very hard on my Dad. Was never really the same. Best wishes to your family.

Sorry buddy. Cancer sucks. That shit took my left nut but that's nothing compared to a brother.

If you don't mind my asking... what type does he have?

I'd never troll about something this serious.

He's been to 4 different docs. The problem was he didn't get diagnosed until he was already stage 3 I believe. Not sure of all the details because the asshole hid it from the family until a couple weeks ago. Only his wife knew. He still hasn't told his 2 kids... He's still holding out hope even though he's been told by multiple docs that outside of a miracle, he's got 3 months max. Just not sure what to do. I'll have 2 fatherless nephews soon and they don't even know it yet.

Thanks for all the condolences though guys.

Lung cancer. And before anyone asks, he was a non smoker his entire life as far as I know.

Yeah my grandmother and my best friends mom passed because of cancer. What sucks is when you eventually start to want them to die just to be pain free. That's hard shit to deal with right there.

Very sorry to hear that. It is absolutely pathetic how there is not a cure for cancer. Unfortunately, I've heard that Lung Cancer doesn't get much funding for treatments/cures because everyone is under the impression that only smokers get LC.

My Uncle just died last week. They diagnosed him stage 4, hospice came, 3 weeks later he died.

Best of luck to your Brother, hopefully his attitude stays positive and he fights.
