Is there any video of this? I do not remember it from the game.

i think the only benefit Carcillo has going for him is he also tripped up so obviously it wasn't entirely an intentionally bad hit. At the same time though, you can't use the "SO AND SO SHOULD HAVE STRONGER FEET" because

A: you're not a pro hockey player nor Pitkanen himself

and

B: you could say the same for Campbell when Ovi checked him into the boards--despite Carcillo's shove not being nearly as ugly.

hope he doesn't get another suspension, but if he does it opens up for Stalberg, who i feel am one of the few who like him; he is wasted on the 4th line he deserves to use his speed with more skilled players like Kane or Toews.

Oh give me a break... Carcillo bumped into him... Ovechkin SHOVED Campbell.

I think they were similar hits, just like I said in chat. I am not surprised at all there was a hearing, nor will I be surprised if he's suspended a game or two.

They wouldn't call a hearing for this unless he is being suspended.

Why? Because there was no misconduct or penalty called on the play, which means it had no purpose of being reviewed unless they were to suspend him at their discretion.

And your thoughts on the "hit", which I didn't get credit for in the IHN Fantasy League.

Not necessarily. League said it would review all questionable hits, penalty given at the time or not. He could just be fined. As a couple have already had happen.

Good point, I did not think about that.

Well yeah, suspended or fined, they wouldn't call something unless they were to take some form of action.

I'm pretty sure theres been a couple of hearings with no suspension or fine. Not that I'm going to look them up. That said I said he'd be fined or suspended in the chat last night. Pushing him was why.

More like a love tap. I can understand why, but IMO it's weak and if it were my decision I would have overlooked it since both of them fell. Looked like they just lost an edge to me after Carcillo leaned on him to get better positioning for winning the battle. He was trying to guide him and pin him into the boards and it just didn't work out that way. IMO the call on the ice was right -- no penalty.

Unfortunately for CArbomb he is a repeat offender. If Shanahan stays consistent no chance he isn't suispended IMO.
