Getting a bag of dicks would have been good. Getting a bag of used pucks is great. Getting a conditional pick is fucking epic.

Unfortunately his 2 major knee injuries slowed him down. Well liked in the locker room, he just lost a step in his skating

Wanting to see the Hawks play to the best of their abilities and having the right players to do that = trolling. Gotcha. Playing a physical game has little to do with it. Toews plays a physical game.

Carcillo was an idiot. The Hawks don't play like idiots. Playing like that directly led to one of his major knee injuries. It's what some here would call "instant karma".

That idiot has been to two cup finals and won one

That idiot has been in the NHL a long time

Every single team at every competive level has those types of physical players, so Toews and other skill guys have room

Anyone that's ever played with one of those players knows the value, or against them knows how difficult it can be

STU gets banned..:yet we have to continue to deal with your trolling. The next comment you make that actually has any value to the game of hockey, will be your first. You belong in the NHTA threads only...but we'll continue to get amused at the moronic shot that spews from your mind

Saying he's won one, inferring that he played some kind of significant role in it is giving him an AWFUL lot of credit . Emphasis on awful. Seeing as he was scratched for most of the Red Wings series and throughout all of the Kings and Bruins series. But I will give him credit for having one more point than Bollig did (0) in the playoffs having played in one less game than him. And of course that game winning goal to prolong the winning streak. That's about it. Again players that play physical and can actually play hockey are fine. Players that play like idiots, whether or not they can play hockey, the Hawks don't need that.

Bollig had 9 hits in game 1...that's the other guy you claim to be an idiot

Actual people that have played the game knows the value of those players, and how difficult they are to play against

I wouldn't expect a trolling moron to understand - which is all you've ever been on this site

Considering what we have got from the rest of the team this season and playoffs, its a no brainer.

Not to mention it drops more cap space and gets us a pick out of it. Great move.

Do we have any idea what the conditional pick involves?

Where did I claim Bollig to be an idiot? I've said he's a scrub, I've said he's of AHL caliber, don't think I've ever called him an idiot or that he plays like one, certainly not in the way Carcillo does.

Carcillo would have been awesome on the Bruins. Luckily the Bruins have a smarter (yet dirtier) player in Marchand.

Agreed there. For teams like the Flyers or Bruins, fits right into their style of play. Blackhawks? Nope.

'One down'...who's the other one you're referring to?

Just got the **** away. Seriously...the trolling is annoying. You bring nothing to the boards and know nothing about the game

One player they don't need down because he was an idiot. Bollig you can replace with almost anyone who can play physical but also have some semblance of decent skating ability, hands, passing ability, hockey IQ, lane coverage, etc any or one of the above would immediately be better than what Bollig brings in those categories.

If you can't handle differing hockey opinions PMX just put me ignore. If it annoys you that much. Seriously.

Bollig is cheap and not that bad of a defensive player for a 4th liner who will play half a season add a little entertainment and the team likes him. Works for me. :)

I sort of like the dude, but he was ultimately pretty useless so don't really matter. Bollig can do what he did. And are we really going down the road saying that HITTING matters in winning hockey games? Please. And having differing opinions doesn't mean trolling.

He brought an element to the team that the Hawks severely lacked in 2011. But I wouldn't go as far as to say he contributed to winning the Cup in 2013. In fact, he didn't do shit this season.

However, he did seem to play a much bigger role in Philly's Cup Final season in 2010. I'll give him that much.
