One player they don't need down because he was an idiot. Bollig you can replace with almost anyone who can play physical but also have some semblance of decent skating ability, hands, passing ability, hockey IQ, lane coverage, etc any or one of the above would immediately be better than what Bollig brings in those categories.

If you can't handle differing hockey opinions PMX just put me ignore. If it annoys you that much. Seriously.

When you actually have an opinion that has hockey value...it will be a first. Stick to the NHTA

But troll's gotta troll...so I understand

Funny...that a HOF coach see's ability in Bollig. He has hockey IQ, and a good skater, physical player/finishes hits - and for 600k. Much liked and appreciated by team mates.

A blind 80 year old malaysian would immediately bring more value to the boards and show some semblance of of hockey sense, yet you manage to keep coming back. Seriously.

Anyone hear what the pick conditions are yet? I assume it won't be more than a 6th or 7th...

The condition found in the article is this, as I was wondering about it myself on the IHN Mobile app....

If Carcillo plays 40 or more games with the Kings in the 2013-14 season, the Blackhawks receive a fifth-round pick instead of a 6th in the 2015 draft.

... not like it really matters what round. That's $825,000 we can use elsewhere.... like on someone who actually plays?

I bet he does, now fully healthy and ready to go. Full season, they will have lot's of injuries.... I guess it depends how deep their bench is. Do you know if that 40 games is regular season or if they include any playoff games he may have?

Its regular season. Playoffs don't count for this contract.

But they do have a deep bench. Lombardi stocked the farm well.

Must be summer....................arguing over Carcillo being on the team or not is a big deal.

Guys like Carcillo are a dime a dozen and generally much cheaper to employ.

Exactly. I'd rather see someone like Morin, Smith, Hayes get a shot over Carcillo anyway.

No one is arguing about him being on the team

When he was healthy, he was an effective player on the Hawks. Unfortunately, 2 knee injuries hurt him

But fucking morons that are allowed to troll and don't like physical play in hockey...don't think that has value on a team. Funny, Philly that was in a cup final, Hawks who just won a cup, and LA - that won one the previous year....all see value in it.

I guess if I didn't know anything about the game, I wouldn't see the point of having guys like him on a team either.

Some teams may see value but if that the case then...

-Why did Philly let him walk (not even offer him a contract), and let him sign with the Hawks for $775k?

-Why didn't the Hawks keep him for 825k?

We're talking about pennies here... he's been in the NHL for what... 7 years? This is his 4th team now.

It's Carcillo... what's the big deal here? We lost a guy that barely played this season and can now open up a spot for a younger player to slot into. And for what is potentially a 5th round pick? I'm sold. Great job by Stan.

Honestly, this summer I think has been Stan's best yet... and he hasn't really even done that much. Kruger, Leddy, Rozsival, Khabby, Handzus all signed under $1.5-2.5 mil each pretty much, which is what I was hoping for. Bickell was a bit high at $4 mil, but still obviously under market value. Clearly giving Pirri, LeBlanc, Morin, Hayes, Smith a legitimate shot at training camp, and I'm excited for that too. Can't complain at all.

Once again - no one is complaining about him being traded.

But of course, Variatroll is allowed to troll about how physical play is unnecessary and go on an on an on and on in every thread about a player that plays that type of game.

If it's not that...it's visors. If it's not visors...it's fighting.

Every thread. All he/she posts about.

Hossa was also on 4 teams in 3 years. Guess same can be said about him too. I can create a list of players like that. He fills a need/role on teams.

I've said the exact opposite. The exact fucking opposite. I don't like Carcillo because he plays like an idiot. Has nothing at all to do with fighting or players playing a physical game. Hawks have had numerous players in the past several years that have played a physical game that I've had no problems with. But not Carcillo. The Hawks don't need a player like him.

Again, because you disagree with me doesn't make it trolling. Because we believe in different things doesn't make it trolling. It's ridiculous you cannot understand that.
