Was a dumb play for sure... but don't crucify him for it. He has been very effective all year and played some really good hockey... doesn't excuse the hit, though.

Exactly this was more similar to the Ovechkin hit on Campbell. Dangerous, not dirty, play.

I think we need to change out hockey lingo. These aren't "hits". These are pushes and shoves and dangerous ones. I think the faster we stop lumping these sort of things into "hit" categories the easier it would be for people to see them for what they actually are.



Suspension isn't going to matter. Karma caught up with Carcillo. I see a nasty knee injury there. Im going to guess with my non medical knowledge that its a 2 month min.

Couldn't agree more. Players better learn to respect each other and the game or pretty soon the league will look more and more like the AHL.
