Nola looks to be without Carr next week, but it's in NOLA and their defense can get after the little guy
Saints would be wise to stick with Hill at QB instead of Winston. Problem is the Saints aren’t wise @SilenceS

Just run the shit outta the ball against them.

Hubbard had himself a day today, they're going to feed him and keep the ball outta Bryce's hands to help protect his confidence.

Saints are 5.5 point favorites next week, they're 100% still in the playoff race and outside of Carr they're not insanely banged up I don't think. Carolina is gonna scare us these last few weeks though but nothing a few losses won't fix!

Panthers would have to win 2 of their last 5 games to lose the #1 pick. Their next 4 games are against teams fighting to get in the playoffs or fighting to stay in. Their last game is against the Bucs, hopefully it doesn't matter.
That's not necessarily true. The SOS tiebreaker is .525 to .529. So it may just end up being 1 win to drop out of #1 if the Pats don't win another game. Start rooting hard for the AFC East and against the NFC South (since every one of those games is a 2 game swing in SOS).

The next two games scare me the most. N.O will likely be without Carr, and ATL has proven they can lose to anybody.

If they come out these next two weeks with two L's, it's going to be tough to drop out of that #1 spot with GB, JAC, and TB left.
Carr was a concussion, right? Don't QB's usually play more often than not the next week after a concussion? If it's a concussion I would think it's more likely than not that he plays, but still very questionable.

Hill cant throw either. Hell of a football player, but no way a QB
Yes but if he stays in at QB today, they win the game. Winston gave that game away

NE plays 4 teams with winning records. It would take a lot more than one win by Panthers opponents to change the strength of schedule in NE favor

Tankathon uses the record of all 17 opponents. The SOS is what it is. It's not going to change by the teams left on the schedule. It changes by all of the games by all of the opponents combined. So unless you're projecting it out by all of the remaining combinations of all those 17 opponents for each team, it's basically a coin flip going forward who will have the tiebreaker.

KC needs to take care of GB tonight and that helps SOS alot. Then you just need PIT/KC/DEN/BUF/NYJ to win more games than NO/ATL/GB/JAX/TB - which on paper looks very doable. Wish Nagy wasnt dragging a HOF QB led O to the worst its ever been.

I think there's a lot of confusion here about the SOS. I don't believe what you're saying is correct. Tankathon uses the SOS of ALL 17 opponents. Meaning that what is changing the SOS is the wins and losses by all 17 teams on the schedule every week. So it's not just the remaining teams on the schedule.

If you want something to root for, focus on the AFC East and NFC South games because they will all swing the SOS by 2 games (since they play divisional opponents twice).

NFL just uses teams you've played total win % - their SOS wont include games that havent been played but I guess you are correct since you already know the schedule you can look at it collectively across all 17. In which case KC losing to GB would really hurt because its both adding a "loss" to NE opponents while adding a "win" to a CAR opponent atthe same time?

Yeah that's right. That just tied the SOS at .527. I wonder what the tiebreaker to the tiebreaker is hahaha

Side note: NFL officiating is so awful and inconsistent. It seems like it's just getting worse.

After further review.... for non-conference teams it would go head to head (which isn't applicable), then you're right, record vs common opponents. I believe if the Panthers lose to the Saints this week that would also be a tie. Then it would be the strength of victory (the record of the teams they've beaten). So I guess now I'm REALLY rooting for the Bills and Jets (and against the Texans).

That Jets loss to the Falcons today was the biggest reason the SOS swung so much today. That was a 4 game swing, 2 for both Carolina and NE.

Scare us? Who the hell are they going to beat? This team is terrible and Bryce Young isnt going to turn into Steve YOung over night. They might win another game but im leaning toward them finishing 1-16. Looking at their schedule i just dont see who they beat going down the stretch. The patriots are absolutely putrid but they somehow have two wins. Im more concerned with our pick. These dipshits might actually win a couple meaningless games down the stretch and drop out of the top 5.

New coach, still bad talent but different vibes now.

Like I said, they ran the ball 25 times with Hubbard - this is much closer to their strategy from last year with Foreman when they finished 6-6 after being ass to start the season. Dunno how pumped we'll see the defense over these last few weeks because the DC is still in the same role but anytime there's a shakeup like this there's a chance for new guys to shine.

Let's not count our chickens before they're hatched.
