Maybe the media has a hand in it, but I think it's for her protection.

Did anyone see a not guilty verdict coming down? She probably doesn't have any idea where she's going to once set free, and this gives her team a chance to figure it all out as well as giving time for the public to follow NG to some other cesspool.

Star Jones was asked by the Today Show and she said that based on her 30 years of experience as a lawyer and the testimony of Casey's mom, she will most likely be welcomed back into the family...even though the defense tried to blame the mom, dad, and brother in various alternate murder scenarios.

Stop getting your news from TMZ or Fixed News or Nancy Grace. Had you watched the Today show this morning like I happened to, you could have watched the JUDGE with your own eyes on the court's broadcasted feed to see what the authority on the matter had to say about it.

The reason your opinions and summations are so fucked is that you are hearing something second or third hand...much like hearsay. It allows for interpretation and twisting. Ever play the telephone game?

......................why do I bother...there is no teaching the blind, deaf, and dumb...Helen Keller was one of a kind.

Pete - I was providing facts on the case. If you don't believe me then check it our for yourself. She gets released on 7/13 next week. That's just a fact and it doesn't matter what news agency I heard it from that you approve or disapprove of.

Missing the point...as usual. The JUDGE this morning said that no decision will be made until he meets with the defense team in about 30 days because the Department of Corrections (ie the Sherrif) has to file paperwork that explains exactly how much time she will be granted for "good behaviour and gains time". So unless something was expedited from the DOC in the last two hours...TMZ ARE GUESSING.

My local news just said she would be released next Wednesday. It is an ABC affiliate.

When all you're doing is swearing at me and calling me names it's hard to see the point you're making. But your information is out of date. CNN has her being released next week on 7/13 as I stated above --> http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/07/casey-anthony-to-be-sentenced-thursday/?hpt=hp_t1

"The judge gave her four consecutive jail sentences, but she has already served nearly three years and would get credit for time served as well as good behavior. Perry originally estimated Anthony could be freed in late July or early August, but Anthony's attorney Jose Baez told ABC News that she will be released July 13."

....court officials???? Really????

Chief Judge Belvin Perry sentenced Casey Anthony this morning for lying to police, giving her four years in jail and credit for the time she's already served since 2008.

How much credit she gets will be calculated later today but it won't be announced in court. A court spokeswoman will tell the media in an email.

Considering how much time she's already served, Anthony could be released late this month or early August.

From the Chicago Tribune at 11:27am.

Lets all face it she's been LOCKED up for almost 3 years. It's not her just getting 6 days.

So, is she guilty yet?

I figured this thread would sway public opinion and there'd be a magical new trial with people holding pitchforks and torches ablaze demanding blood on the stone so that puppies would never have to see a burlap sack and drowned while some one in an El Camino plays the first release from Creed.

I thought puppy killers listened to Justin Bieber.

I have thought all along that she was abducted by Decepticons and brought to Chicago because she ingested a piece of the all-spark. Casey was actually Sam's hookup between the brunette and the blond and Caylee is simply a casulty of the robot wars of 2011.

That notion was floated on TMZ a while a go...it has to be truthful NEWS, right?

Looks like the big bucks are about to start flowing soon for Casey Anthony. TMZ reporting the following....

"Jose Baez -- Casey Anthony's lawyer -- is holed up at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, holding court with all of the major networks -- to determine who will score the first interview with Casey -- and big bucks are involved.

Sources tell TMZ ... NBC, ABC and CBS are all competing for the first interview. Sources connected with the negotiations tell TMZ there is a "big price tag" for the interview. We're told the networks -- which say they don't pay for interviews -- are offering to license photos and other material and pay big bucks ... that's S.O.P. in the network game.

We're told NBC looks like the frontrunner so far, but ABC is in the game. We're told CBS "is a distant third." We're told NBC is paying for Baez' hotel room.

Baez spent part of the night Thursday in the Mandarin Oriental bar with famed lawyer Mark Geragos (right) -- who knows a thing or two about high-profile cases. We're told Geragos gave Baez pointers on negotiating the deal."
