Just posted #16 in game #74. On pace for about 35 on the season. Great talent...too many damn errors.
if he hits 275-300 with more power with and obp of .360 than the errors are ok
If what we are seeing right now is the best Starlin Castro has to offer I think that is still a well above average SS overall. If he continues to develop and improve in all aspects of his game, he might move into the discussion for best SS in the game.
he will have to obtain more power and will have to be much better in the field to be the best
SS is starting to revert back to what it use to be prior to the steriod era. There aren't that many SS with serious power, and it isn't like Castro is currently devoid of power. As I said, if he improves in all areas of his game (more of the doubles turning into homeruns, fewer errors, etc.) then I think there is a case to be made for him.
just cant put him in the tulo/hanley sentence just yet.
At least if he reaches 30 errors I don't have to suck Waldo's balls.
BREAKING: Castro ending season early to go back home to the Dominican Republic. His final number of errors is 16.
Link? Source?
I thought the Castro ball could have been caugh in the air. It look like it had the distance. Castro's defense has improved a lot and it's gona keep improving.
Bingo. He's only 21 it will get better.
Right on. He still has mental lasps in the field but every player does. He now knows hoe fast he has to get the ball out. I know it resulted in an error but I love that play by Castro. I would take than error any day.
