dude has a long history including full on kkk support on these forums. he was previously perma banned because of it. he is only back because everyone from the entire site was unbanned
this isn't isolated
also, when a community has a tos and someone gets banned for breaking it, that is not "cancel culture"

There is nothing you said there that I disagree with.
But I do think that there is a difference between a mod banning a guy for breaking ToS (legit) vs non mods telling the mods how to do their jobs and who to ban, even when the person they want banned did NOT break the ToS, even if the take otherwise was utterly disgusting.
Ignore feature is there for that function to address the latter....

Society does have its own way for dealing with abnormal behavior, but the last time it got this bad historically was in the wild west where you oft had mob rule, and innocent people getting lynched for offending the wrong person who knew the right words to incite the mob against whomever pissed them off.

You're just parroting buzzwords you've learned. There is no such thing as "cancel culture". Almost every example of what you call cancel culture is a business decision by a private entity which has chosen to end partnerships with people whose words or actions are likely to harm their brand.
This is a result of modern technology and the fact that the whole planet is now on camera and social media.
