This shit storm started in Elgin if you can believe it

Com ed has been busting ass all night and they are still sitting on 756 outages with almost 40k people affected.
Up in the far northwest we had 10k give or take that have already been restored.
Good luck to those in the still impacted areas- they usually hit the large or easy ones first, and the damaged structures last. Any still down have a high likelihood of significant damage that will take several hours and a lot of manpower to fix.

I would not want to be without power on a day like today
I'll tell you from personal experience, that shit is terrible. Imagine not having power for almost 2 weeks. In Florida. In August.

So I was flying back home from ORD Monday night, what fuckery, lightening hitting the tarmac so they bring in all outdoor employees, then a tornado warning and they make everyone move away from the terminal windows, then they finally sound the fuck-it alarm and evacuate us all into the tunnels. Your weather sucks dick-bags, I will gladly suffer the insufferable CA progressives in exchange for blue skies.
