I got a bottle of that for Christmas, I've been using it to make a much more girly drink Old Fashioned.
Did you ever try a smoked Manhattan? My daughter took one of my cedar planks that I use to grill Salmon, and her and her friends fire it up and make smoked Manhattans. They are pretty good, better with hickory than cedar IMO.

Great place, expensive, one of the owners has some other less pricey but still quality places.

Old Fashioned probably has more abv than a Manhattan, it's a great drink. Try it with brandy to feel like a real Wisconsinite.
Never have tried it smoked, I'm pretty boring with cocktails.

Yeah Maize+Mash is definitely higher end than the other places, in both food and drink, their $12 drinks use better booze, they also have $10 drinks. A friend of a friend knows the guy and some of the staff, a bartender poured me a comped $33 shot of Van Winkle Rye, it was great, not $33 great, butt still very good.
He has different partners at M+M and they are going for a more up scale bistro feel, it's working the place is always packed. His other places are always packed also, they all have great food and are cool places to hang out.
