#8 ND Is the Surprise of the 2010 Season

South Bend IND- Notre Dame is the #8 team in the nation. Fans wouldve laughed 2 months ago if anyone would have said that then. Notre Dame though is a very talented team. Midway through the season the 6-0 Irish look to continue their success into the 2nd half of the season. If we take a look back at thier season thier 2 biggest wins of the year both came with Dayne Crist not playing that itself is amazing. Asked about the season Head Coach Eric Follman was very happy so far.

"I knew we were good and we are talented no one else thoght we were but us. I think we have a shot at the title we just got to keep on plugging along."

Notre Dame has a bye week this week and will definately celebrate thier win last week vs Ohio State.

MICH - 37, IOWA - 47- Tate Forcier and company are going downhill after their loss to rival school, Michigan State.

Forcier had another off game as he threw a total of 3 interceptions. The Wolverines' defense has also been another problem, Coach Crimsion says that they are now focusing on recruiting defensive players to help them in the long run.

"This season is my chance to test the waters, hopefully I am around next year to make a run at it."

Slow And Steady Won't Win This Race

michigan-logo.gif

The Michigan Wolverines are having a hard time getting their man during the recruiting process this year as they have only nabbed one recruit thus far.

The Wolverines are #1 on a few prospects lists and are top 3 on many others, with Michigan struggling while their prospects are visiting the school is taking a huge hit on the board. Coach Charles and the Wolf Pack will have to wait and see if they are able to nab any more recruits before the off-season

CHAD0034 Has Plenty To Be Happy About In Seasons To Come

th_Ohio_State_buckeyes_logo.png

After a few slow weeks on the commitment board for the Buckeyes, the recruits seem to be falling into place now, as Ohio State nabbed a few big prospects this week. Two five star recruits in QB Jason Brooks (JUCO), and TE Trey Skinner. They also added another three star running back in Ryan Grant, who will most likely sit behind Dan Herron and Chris Berry for the starting spot next season.

Irish Get 3 more recruits. Overall dissapointed with recruiting.

notredame.png

Notre Dame although happy with the recruits they got and are going to get soon feel kind of dissapointed with the recruiting class this year. They will get no 5 stars after they lost the battle to get Doug Williams the #1 QB in the nation to USC,No more 4 stars and they are banking on a lot of 3 stars to come to South Bend. Notre Dame doesent neccesarily need a good recruiting class this year though as not many players are leaving at all but even 1st year coach Eric Follman was dissapointed in his 1st season recruiting.

Wisconsin is somewhat expected to jump to #1 on the Top 25 next week, with the slaughtering of the Buckeyes. Alabama will fall to number two.

OHST-60, PUR-14- After losing back to back weeks, the Buckeyes needed a good old fashion ass whooping against a weak Boilermakers team. They did that and more this week, and won the game 60-14.

Keep in mind, this game could've been much worse if Ohio State were to keep piling on the damage later in the game. The Buckeyes found themselves up 48-7 at halftime, and from than on, cooled off, giving their back up players some time on the field.

"We needed this. Now we must keep playing solid like today, and carry that on to late in the season. We still have some challenging games left to play," said coach Fellers after the game.

OHST-28, IND-7- After a dominating offensive win against the Boilermakers last week, the Ohio State Buckeyes moved up one spot to #15 in the rankings, and brought the defense in this game, dominating Indiana, and winning 28-7.

The Buckeyes held the Hoosiers to a eye opening 2-17 third down conversion rate. Terrelle Pryor and the offense had an average game.

The story on offense, however, was witnessing Brandon Saine getting benched for pushing his NCAA fumble leaderboard up two more. Other running back Dan Herron came in, and did an alright job. Saine is expected to start next week.

OHST-34, PST-28- The Buckeyes went into this game, a non-favorite at home for the first time in a long time. The Penn State Nitney Lions came into the game undefeated in the Big 10, and were on a roll, moving up to #9 in the Rankings after beating Minnesota last week.

Ohio State were the top dog in the first half of this game, but the Lions owned the third quarter. Than, brought a great third quarter to watch. The Buckeyes scored late in the fourth quarter, on a John Berry 10 yard run, his first touchdown of the season.

They went for two and converted it, and than needed a big stop against the Lions. They couldn't do it, but a HUGE fumble turnover on the Buckeyes 10 yard line was recovered by Ohio State, winning the game.

MICH - 20, PUR - 17- It was a snowy day in Purdue and the conditions were about to get worse for the Michigan Wolverines as they took on the Boilermakers.

Wolverines QB, Denard Robinson stepped it up big tonight in the dying minutes of the game as he was able to tie it up with a TD pass to Roy Roundtree.

The Michigan defense struggled for the most part but pulled through when it mattered as they were able to force a fumble within the last 30 seconds of the game, allowing the Wolverines to go up by a field goal and close the game out
