5 Offensive Linemen worth taking a look at.

1. Matt Kalil, T, USC: There is a reason Tyron Smith, the Cowboys' first-round pick this year, played right tackle instead of on the left side. Kalil is that reason.

2. Jonathan Martin, T, Stanford (Jr.): One of the top left tackles in the nation. At 6-6, 310 pounds, he is the one who protects Luck's blindside. He has great feet and the system helps his stock.

3. Matt Reynolds, T, BYU: He has good size at 6-6 325 pounds and he has good feet in pass protection. Plays in a pro-style offense, which helps.

4. Nate Potter, T, Boise State: He's 6-6, 300 pounds and he plays in a pro-style offense where he does a lot of pass protection. That will help his value. A lot like Nate Solder, who went in the first round last year.

5. Riley Reiff, T, Iowa (Jr.): He has been a starter since he was a freshman. The NFL loves Iowa linemen because they are so well coached.

Jaguars new Head Coach

Owner Shahid Khan has hired Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey as his new head coach, the Florida Times-Union reported Tuesday night.

Mularkey, who went 14-18 as coach of the Buffalo Bills from 2004-05, is Khan’s first major hiring as new owner. Mularkey has spent the last four seasons with the Falcons, overseeing the development of quarterback Matt Ryan since the Falcons drafted Ryan third overall in 2008. Ryan threw for 4,177 yards and 29 touchdowns this past season, both career highs.

Mularkey actually interviewed for the position on Tuesday, according to the report, after Atlanta was eliminated from the playoffs by the New York Giants on Sunday in a 24-2 loss in the wild-card round.

Mularkey’s first priorities will be assembling a staff and meeting with quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who just finished his rookie season. Gabbert started 14 games for the Jaguars, throwing for 2,214 yards with 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while helping guide the Jaguars to a 5-11 record.

Mularkey becomes the fourth head coach in Jacksonville's 17-year history. He replaces interim coach Mel Tucker, who went 2-3 over the final five games of the season after Jack Del Rio was fired by former majority owner Wayne Weaver in late November.

Del Rio was 68-71 in eight-plus seasons with the Jaguars, taking them to the postseason twice and going 1-2 in the playoffs.

Much like he did with Ryan in Atlanta, Mularkey will be looked upon to groom Gabbert, who was drafted 10th overall in last year's draft.

The Times-Union reported that Mularkey was also scheduled to interview for the Miami Dolphins' head-coach opening this week. Mularkey coached in Miami the two seasons before going to Atlanta.

Denver didn't directly use the Bear's picks to get Tebow but the trades they made moving around with picks wouldn't of happened if they weren't in possession of the Bears picks.

They did draft Robert Ayers with the first years Bears pick... If they didn't have the next year's one they wouldn't of traded up into the 09 draft to take Alphonso Smith, both who amassed nothing much for the Broncos.

"Area scouts and sources" tell SI's Tony Pauline that "a lot of teams" have Baylor's Kendall Wright rated as the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2012 NFL draft.
Pauline reports that "several teams," including one NFC playoff club, have Wright rated higher than Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon. Blackmon is a favorite of media draftniks, but he is likely to run in the 4.5s at 6-foot-1 and has a checkered off-field history. Wright is three inches smaller, but will likely time in the low-4.3s and has drawn comparisons to Carolina's Steve Smith for his combo of vertical skills and physicality in traffic. With the Senior Bowl just over a week away, Wright may be a sleeper to be drafted in the top ten. Jan 13 - 6:49 PM

Tony Pauline Twitter

The real question is whether Wright becomes the 2nd WR in tehe draft and pushes Floyd down.

Youd think that he'll put up great combine #s and someone will fall in love with him. I hope he does push someone to us.

Front Line Starter Needed

1. WR, As has been said the Bears need at least 2 WRs, one of which that can fill the #1 role.

2. S, The Bears have youth an inexperience and with Wright's injuries and inconsistent plays the Bears finally need to lock down this position.

Competition for Starter Needed

3. DE, The Bears need someone who can come in and get more of a pass rush across from Peppers then they are getting from Izzy.

4. OL [LT], The Bears need to add youth and competition to the OL and need developmental players to move from solid to dominant.

5. CB, It is the Cover 2 CB position so this is not as high, but the Bears need someone that can project as a starter or a long term replacement for Tillman.

Depth and Development

6. LB, The Bears ave their starter, but they do not have guys developing behind them.

7. TE, The Bears do not have anyone established in the TE position, but Davis has potential and the Bears need to keep adding to the position in a hope that someone works out.

@Demandrim Seriously doubt Bears draft OL high.

1st Round: 19th Pick -- Michael Floyd - WR - Notre Dame
2nd Round: 50th Pick -- Stephon Gilmore - CB - South Carolina
3rd Round: 74th Pick -- Kevin Zeitler - OG - Wisconsin
3rd Round: 80th Pick -- Jordan White - WR - Western Michigan
4th Round: 111th Pick -- Carmen Messina - LB - New Mexico

No OL high and still, in my opinion, a successful draft. What say you?

EDIT: Also I'm hoping the Bears go about Free Agency with some fervor and we get quality depth and maybe a starter or two.

we dont even have a GM LOL how does anyone know what we will do lol. I could believe that if it was post comibe and we had a GM. But I have a hard time believing that. Maybe Jerry Angelo wouldn't of took OL high but the new GM may take one.

I hope we get a GM who drafts best player available I have always believed that is the way to go in the NFL.

If we have a GM or not ... N.E. has opened up a whole can of new worms.

T.E.'s playing WR and RB.

Hernandez lining up at RB against Denver and gaining 12 yds per carry.

Thats 3X more then what a "good" RB gets.

And Grontkowski always there for the TD at WR.

We better start thinking this faster then them fuckers are thinking it faster.

Them fuckers is on to somthing ... and it works.
